Santana's POV:

To say I am nervous would be an understatement. I rub my hands nervously on my jeans and wait for Brittany to knock on the door. Tonight is the night Brittany and I finally tell my parents, We have waited 3 weeks after she got out the hospital, I wanted to make sure she was fully recovered, or I was just prolonging the situation. Either way we are doing this, right now.

I don't know how they will react, hopefully it will be a good reaction and not a bad one. I just wish Brittany would get here sooner because I am freaking out.

I move across the room and put on some music that blares through my speakers, I immediately start swaying to the music, I close my eyes and get lost in the song, I haven't heard this song in ages and I remember when I watched Brittany dance to this song at her schools showcase.

She was dancing with her friend Nathan and I remember getting jealous because he was in close proximity of her.

I jump when I feel arms wrap around my waist, I look down and see Brittany's bracelet and instantly lean into her touch. On cue with the music she whispers in my ear "Aye Papi"

" And I'm crazy, but you like it

Loca, loca, loca

You like that it ain't easy

Loca, loca, loca

I'm crazy but you like it

Loca, loca, loca

Crazy but you like it

Loca, loca, loca

You're the one for me

And for her no more

Though you think she got it all

I got one kiki " I sang while dancing, Brittany taking the lead like always.

As the song finished and the next song started to play, Brittany went and turned the music down so we could talk over it.

"How are you?" She asked placing a light kiss on my cheek.

"Good, I haven't been freaking out or talking to myself, or forcing myself to stay away form the phone so I can't call you and cancel, which is kind of strange because I've been wanting to call you for ages to find out where you were" I looked to the digital clock by my bed " 10 minutes Brittany, you are 10 Minutes late" I huffed and crossed my arms.

"Okayyy.." Brittany dragged out eyeing me "I got stuck at home because, wait that's not even important, are you ready to do this? because we can do this next week, or whenever you're ready, there is absolutely no rush or pressure-" I went to stop Brittany but she continued "It's not like they need to know we are dating, I mean really its no ones business but you said that you would feel better if you told them which I understand because after everyone in my family found out I just felt a whole weight be lifted off of me but that didn't mean that I wasn't happy before hand or anything, I don't know it just felt better but I mean haha that would be a different story if everything went to sh-" I chuckled lightly and finally cut Brittany off of her nervous rambling.

"Okay, let's just get this over with" I grabbed her hand and led both of us down stairs to the dining room. Something I learnt about Brittany is that when somebody is uncomfortable with a situation she tries to make them feel okay and better but then she starts to ramble and get nervous herself, which I find adorable.

Half way through dinner I felt Brittany nudge me gently from across the table. I looked up to see her raise her eyebrows to signify that it was now or never. I cleared my throat which made everyone look in my direction, I silently scolded myself for being so bold.

"So there was a particular reason that I invited Brittany to this dinner tonight" I started, my hands fidgeting with the unused napkin under the black table.

"What's the reason hunny?" My mother spoke causing me to jump a little.

"I um, because I needed to tell you that-" I paused to look at my father who was shuffling uncomfortably "Well, Brittany and I are dating" I rushed out and grabbed my water.

"Oh" My mother breathed out. I heard my father chuckling to my left so I raised a curious eyebrow at Brittany who was sitting there staring at him with furrowed eyebrows.

"I thought you were going to say you were pregnant" He coughed awkwardly when he realised the three women in the room were staring at him.

"So anyway..." I said slowly, shifting my gaze from one side of the table to the other.

"It's a shock, but it makes sense" My mother mumbled.

"Least I don't have to worry about any boy troubles, but I hear girl troubles are worse" My father joked.

"You had never been this close to any of your other friends, but what happened to Sam? I know you broke up a while ago but how can your feelings just change so suddenly" My mother tried to process, she didn't seem disgusted or repulsed, just confused, which in my opinion was great. My father seems thrilled with the idea of me and Brittany.

"So are you a lesbian? Bisexual? what?" My father asked.

"I don't think that is important, I think all that is important to know is that I am in love, With Brittany" I made eye contact with Brittany across the table, trying to convey my love to her just by looking at her. And it seemed she mirrored my look.

"Well, Your father and I love you no matter what Santana, and we except you, for who you are and who you love. We couldn't be happier" My mother paused and looked to Brittany "And we love Brittany"
