CHAPTER 36: LIGHTLY

Nandini was walking alone in the hotel's corridor after talking to Ani. Last night memories are not leaving her mind. She was lost in her thoughts, when a hand pull her in a room and lock the door. She closed her eyes tightly and starts to shaken badly. Manik leave her hand and look at her, and stand at some distance form her. He see that sweat is already formed on her forehead, he called her name softly...

M: Nandini

Nandini open her eyes , and leave her kurti which she is clutching from a long time. She look at Manik and then start to take normal breathe. Manik take out some tissue out of the box and came near Nandini..

M: May I

Nandini look in his eyes and find concern for herself, so she blink her eyes. Manik started to wipe the sweat from her forehead lightly, Nandini was looking at his face blankly, trying to search his emotion, his feeling for her.  her mind say that its sympathy but her hearts says that it is concern. His action and emotions are not matching . He was about to clean the sweat from the corner but Nandini move back and ran inside the washroom. She splash water on her face more than 10 times. Manik was in confusion regarding her behavior, coz she is behaving different not like those normal days. After few minutes Nandini came out with red eyes, Manik understood that she cried. He filled a glass with water and gave it to her. She drink it in one go and sit on the bed unwillingly.

Manik came in front of her, and sit on his knees and put his both hands in either side of her. Nandini still didn't utter a single word .

M: nandini, I know what happened last night was......not at all good. U are affected by it very badly I can see that. But that doesn't mean ...

He was about to speak further when Nandini cut him in middle..

N( sternly): Manik please I don't need any kind of sympathy. Yes I am thankful to you, to my Aiyappa that he send u...before anything happened wrong. U save me from them, thank u thank u so much for that. But seriously I don't need this sympathy, please don't show it to me. Thank you so much for saving me. Thank u Manik.

Saying this she get up and was about to leave from the room when Manik suddenly pull her towards him with a jerk, that she directly collide with his hard chest. His jaws are tight, he put his both hand on her waist and bring her more close to him by digging his nails in the fabric. Nandini instantly hissed in pain, and her eyes again become moist. Manik's mind remind him that nandini has some deep marks on her waist of biting and scratches. He loose his hold a little and hold her softly. Nandini again look herself in those chocolaty eyes but her vision was a little blur as tears are already built up in her eyes.. Nandini's hand automatically came on his shoulder. Manik take a sharp breathe and said...

M( sternly ): Look into my eyes Nandini..just look into them.

Nandini blink her eyes twice, to let the built up tears fall from the corner of her eyes and then look into his eyes passionately. She find so many hidden emotions in that.

M( sternly): Tell me...Do u find sympathy in them haa...Just tell me for once, do you find sympathy in them. You don't find concern or care in them for you. Eyes never lie Nandini. So tell me the truth What do u find in my eyes. I am concern for u when I see u in pain, I care for u when u r hurt. I already promise u that I will hold u whenever u will fall down......Then why god dammmit u didn't understand me. Why, cant u see what my eyes reflect. Why Nandini???

Nandini was too numb to react . After hearing Manik words her breathe got hitched in mid way, shiver ran down through her spine, her hold on his shoulder become more tight. Manik wants his answer but Nandini was not in that state. In another second she hugged him tightly making her grip tight on him and started to sob in his chest. Manik hold her protectively and rub her back...
