CHAPTER 35: COMPOSE

As Nandini hissed in pain, Manik take his hand back immediately. He looked at her face, which is looking dull and pale, her eyes are red and swallowed , her chin and neck have some scratch marks. All these things are making him feel different. Its look like her pain is hurting him.

MANIK POV

These things are hurting me, Nandini's pain is hurting me, all these marks are making me more and more angry . How can they touch her like that, how can they force her, how can they look her with those dirty looks? How? Agar..Agar me waha time pen a pachuta to kya ho jata , Nandini..usse kuch ho jata to. No..No..No esa kuch nhi hota, me ..me usse kuch nhi hone dunga. YE kya ho raha h mjhe . kyu nandini ko dard me dekh kar mjhe bura lagta h, me kyu uske aasu nhi dekh pata hu. Why I feel different and new when she hug me tightly , Why I was happy when she is in my arms, why my heart is not ready to let her go from my arms, kyu me bas usse apni baho me chahta hu. Aaj jab vo meri baho me thi to..esa laga jaise dil ko sukoon mil gya.

I was stroking her hairs, she is in deep sleep but again frowns started to appear on her forehead and sweat form , slowly she starts shivering too in her sleep. I shake her lightly, but she hold me, clutch me more tightly and then I heard she is mummering something . I went close to her..

N( in sleep): Please...please...let me go...please....mjhe jane do...please

Suddenly she sit on bed and hold her knees and again start to cry. Again she cry, dam it its hurting me..here in my heart it is hurting me don't know why??

MANIK POV END

Nandini is shaking and crying really hard holding her knees, she is just mummering one thing to herself that is No please..no please ..no please. Manik put his hand on her hand, she jerk away his hand and look at him with creepy face.

M: Hey...Nandini its me...Manik

N( sobbing): vo..vo..phir..mjhe haath lagaya...he touch me again

M: No Nandini..no one came here..I am with u

N: I..I saw hi..him Manik

Manik cup her face and make her look in his eyes. He wipe her tears and affectionately said:

M: Look at me Nandini ...I am with u...no one can touch u ok, no one can harm u...no one can hurt u

That's it Nandini, she hug him tightly and sob hard in his chest holding him tight form his waist, Manik compose himself and take her in his arms, protectively. He rubbed her bare back and cresses her hair.

M: Ssshhh...I am with u

N: Ma..Manik..u r with me na...hai na...u r

M: yes nandini...stop crying....just sshhhh....i am with u

N: u r with me...u..

Nandini repeat Manik's words again and again to herself and stay in his chest. Soon she was again fall asleep in his arms. Manik finds her sobbing and mummering are stop and see that she is fall asleep in his arms, he smile at her and kiss on her forehead. He was about to put her on the bed, but in deep sleep she hold him more securely. So he let her be in his arms and slept in the same position.

NEXT MORNING

Manik was the first one to wake up, he see there position and smile. He admire Nandini again but this time in his arms, he see the time its 6 in the morning, he put Nandini on the bed and put duvet over her. He came to his room and recall all the moment form the last night. He can feel that his heart is beating very fast , he put his hand on his heart and feel it. Nandini's scared, creepy and pale face is not leaving his eye sight. For the first time, he feel this scared and careless for someone , for the first time he make any girl sleep in his arms. All these thoughts are doing nothing but making him confuse, confuse in his mind and heart state. He tossed on bed as his mind is not at peace, finally he give up and put headphone and heard some songs and unknowingly slept.

Around 11 in morning, sun directly hit Nandini's face. She slowly open her eyes and sit on the bed. She find herself in same attire of sangeet and last night scene click her mind. She take Aiyappa name and came out of bed and left for a long shower. The water drop are releasing her stress a bit. She was silently standing under the shower with closed eyes. All the last night things are making frame in her mind. The hugs, his arms, his protective behavior towards her, his kisses, his words are somewhere soothing her nerves. Their hug makes its own image in her mind, a permanent image. After taking a shower of half an hour, she came out and wear a simple suit .

NANDINI'S OUTFIT

She lock her room and came down for breakfast , all observe her silent behavior and asked her, but in return she gave only a faint smile . Manik saw this and think of talking her later.

Ani: Nandu chal

N: kaha

Ani: mjhe baat krni h tujhse?

N: hmmm...

They came to Anita's room and sit on bed.

Ani: Kya hua h Nandu?

N: nothing Ani

Ani: Don't lie Nandini, I asked what happened so just answer me truly..

N: vo...vo kal raat..
