My name is Mila. I have long black hair, which was orginally blonde. I am 18 years old, My parents have been split up since I was 10, and then everything went downhill from there. I was diagnosed with Anxiety when I was 12 years old and Major Depression when I was 13. I was bullied for 3 years, and lost a close friend due to sucide. She was 15. I have been in various relationships which have ended with horrible outcomes, and have attempted sucide at least 10 times over the last 6 years. It's hard getting through every day and even harder getting through every night, but I'm doing it one step at a time. If there is one thing I have learned over the years, it's that it never gets easier. You just get a little more used to the pain.

"Wake up, Sleepy ass. We're here." Engel hollered, slamming my head against the bus window.
"Urg." I grunted. "Asshole."
He shoved me, smiling.
I reached over to the seat in front of me trying to grab my bag.
"I got it, shorty."
Engel was 5'11, although he seemed to be much taller, seeing as I was only 5". He always jokes about how short I am.
Today was the day of our Senior Field trip to Costa Rica. Each cabin holds two bunk bed sets of three, one small flat screen TV, a minifridge, and a decent sized bathroom.
Engel and I just exited the bus when Mrs. Swats started speaking.
"Okay guys, get together and listen up. We are here for two days and one night, not counting tonight. Each day we have a different event and every night we will report back to our OWN cabins before 10 o'clock. If anyone is to break these rules, they will spend the rest of the trip in a cabin with one of the supervisers. Understood? Good. Now here are your cabinmates.
Group 1 is Amber, Emma, Mike, Sam, Kyle and Andrew."
Emma and Amber were two of my closest friends, not being able to be in a cabin with them is going to be so hard.
Emma has short light brown hair, brown eyes, and wears black glasses. Her and I have been friends since first grade. Amber, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. She has long black hair, and freckles. We haven't been friends for as long as Emma and I have, but we're just as close.
Mrs. Swats continued calling out the groups.
"Group 2 is Engel, Marx, John, Anastasia, Mila and Brooke."
I let out a smile when I hear that Engel and I are in the same group. I don't know anyone else in our group, besides Brooke. Marx is one of Engel's closest friends, but him and I haven't really talked. I've actually never even met him until now.
I kept listening to the other groups to see who my other friends were with, when suddenly I got picked up and hugged from behind. When I was put down, I turned to see that it was Engel.
"Hey Cabin buddy. Shall I escort you to our cabin, madame?"
I giggled.
"You shall, my good sir."
Engel picked up my bags, put his arm around my neck, and walked me to our cabin.
When I walked inside, there was only one bunk bed left without bags on it, which happened to be the middle bunk.
Engel knew I was afraid of heights, and must've seen my reaction.
"I got it." He said.
He moved his bags from the bottom bunk to the middle, and set my bags down on the bottom one.
"Thanks." I smiled.
"No problem, Shorty."
I headed out to one of the many beaches on Costa Rica. I have been in love with this place and wanting to come here since I was a little girl. The clear blue waters that you can see through, the wonderful creatures they behold, the sharks. How much I loved the sharks. If it wasn't for Engel. this trip wouldn't of even happened. He was the one who convinced everyone into having our Senior trip here. He would do anything for me.
While I was in between my thoughts and the sound of the wind hitting the waves, Engel was picking me up and squeezing me into one of his bear hugs.
"I was looking for you, one minute I was unpacking, then I look back and you're gone."
"Sorry, I just.. it's just so beautiful"
"You're beautiful"
I feel my face get beat red at the sounds of this and put my head down to hide it.
"Thank you. You know, for making this happen."
"Anything for you. I know how much you love this place." I look up at him, catching his gaze, with those big eyes and adorable smile.
"I love you."
"I love you." I smile. "Come on, let's get back. Gotta start unpacking your suitcase, filled with way too many clothing and shoes for a two day trip."
