"I'll tell you what you call that, bloody amazing is what you call it!" Michael exclaims throwing his hands up in the air and then sinking back in the chair he was seated in. The boys are at Macca's celebrating their first proper gig. Calum and Michael are shouting how great it went and how they can't even. Luke is the only one who isn't screaming, instead he's pushing his fries around quietly. Michael notices the quiet boy.
"Are you okay Luke? Why aren't  you dancing on the table? You were amazing up there." He asks and Luke just shrugs but doesn't look up.
"Are you still upset about the whole gay thing, 'cause we told you, we're totally okay with it." Calum presses further. Luke hakes his head again. He looks up this time.
"It's not that, just got a lot on my mind I guess." Luke sighs and takes his phone out of his pocket. He curses loudly when he sees the time.
"I have to go guys, see you tomorrow!" With that he's gone. The two boys look at eahother quizzically, their eyebrows scrunched together.

"Luke what the hell happened to your face!" Luke ignores his friends and walks to his locker. It's a subject he really doesn't want to talk about right now. There's a huge blue/purple-ish bruise on his face, between his cheek and his eye. His whole head hurts and he just wants to go to bed.
"Luke, don't ignore us! You have to tell us what happened! And don't give us bullshit, the bruises you keep getting can't be caused by walking into lamp posts." ,Calum pushes. Luke knows he can't lie again, but he can't tell the truth either.
"It's nothing, Cal. Just let it go." Luke sighs and slams his locker closed, wincing at the loud sound it makes. Calum give him a look, he's not letting Luke get away this easy.
"Luke, please tell us. We're worried about you, dude." Luke's face softens at Calum's concern. But he shakes his head again and starts walking to his first class. Calum pats Michael on the back and follows Luke.

Luke is exhausted. Calum and Michael didn't stop asking about the bruise and Luke refused to tell them where it came from. He's almost home, when he turns the corner he can see his house. The sun is shining bright and Luke begins to feel dizzy. Just a couple more meters and you can lay down, maybe get some sleep, he tells himself. Then the world beginsto spin and an acrusiating pain shoots through his head. Finally everything turns black and Luke smiles to himself, then his head hits the pavement.

"Be back by six, honey. Have fun!" Ashton just smiles at his mom and gives her a kiss. He hasn't really made friends yet and is sick of being stuck inside.
"Sure, mom, see you later!" He walks along the pavement looking at little kids playing football with his dad. He smiles softly at them. He turns around the corner to see a boy falling. His head bounces off the pavement and Ashton rushes over to him. He recognises him as the boy at the cafe. The blonde boy is out cold and Ashton is panicking a little. He pulls of his sweater and places it underneath the blonde boys head. He notices a bruise on the face of the boy. Ashton tries to wake the boy up.
"Wake up, mate. Come on." After a couple of minutes the boy begins to stir. He let's out a groan and Ashton quickly reacts.
"What happened, man? No, stay still, don't move." The blonde boy opens his eyes and Ashton is mesmerized by the blue orbs staring at him. He snaps out of his daydream when he hears the boy groan. That's right, he has to focus right now.
"Can you do something for me?" Ashton asks and the boy nods, wincing at the movement..
"You need to spell some words for me, is that okay?" The boy hums in response.
"Uhm, Bread; b-r-e-a-d? Penguin; p-e-n-g-i-n?" The boy replies questioningly
"I think you have a concusion, I need to take you home. Where do you live?" At the mention of home the boy gets a scared look on his face.

"I can't go home. Please, don't make me go there." The boy looks close to tears and Ashton nods. He makes the blonde sit up and gives him his sweater.  He stands up and picks the quivering boy up, bridal style. The blonde boy wraps his arms around Ashton's neck and presses his face into his shirt. Ashton looks down with a fond smile but remembers something his mother told him once.
"You can't sleep. You need to go to a doctor first, okay? I'll bring you to my car and I'll take you to the doctors, is that okay?" Ashton asks the boy, who is half asleep. The boy nods and opens his eyes again.
"What's your name?" The boy asks and Ashton ,realises he doesn't even know the boy's name.
"Sorry, I'm Ashton. What's your name?" He asks softly minding the blonde haired boy's head. The latter smiles and replies.
"I'm Luke." Ashton smiles back atthe boy and sees he's nearing his car. He carefully lays Luke on the backseats and closes the doors as quietly as possible,

"Your friend has a mild concussion. You said he fell with his head hitting the pavement?" The doctor asks Ashton. Luke is leaning against Ashton trying to keep his eyes open.
"Yes, I saw him fall." Ashton replies, carefully listening to the doctor.
"Do you know where he got the bruise on his face from? It can't be from the fall." Ashton scrunches his eyebrows together and Luke whimpers.
"I don't know, sir. Can he go home now?" The doctor nods and explains.
"He may go home. I assume his parents will take care of him? You just have to fill in some forms and you'll be free to go." Ashton frowns when he hears another whimper coming from Luke. The boy has pressed his face in Ashton's sweatshirt andis shaking like a leaf.
"Is he okay?" The doctor asks. Ashton replies he'll be okay. When the doctor has left Ashton looks down at Luke. It's really strange, he's known the boy for a couple of hours, yet he feels so comfortable around him. He doesn't even question Luke when he grips Ashton's shirt tighter. Ashton carefully wraps his arms around the quivering boy.
"Luke, do you want to tell me what's wrong? Can you tell me how you got that bruise?" Luke actually begins to cry at that question. Ashton tightens his grip but Luke stiffens. He tries to scramble out of Ashton's embrace and Ashton reluctantly lets him go. Luke tries to stand up but almost immediately falls. Ashton is in time to catch him and carefully picks him up. He walks to his car after he's signed some forms and sits Luke down in the passenger seat. When he looks if Luke is okay, he sees the boy is fast asleep.

After driving for 10 minutes a phone starts to ring, causing Luke to wake up. He shoots an apologetic look and answers the call. His face falls,  as does a single tear when the shouting, coming from his phone, doesn't seem to end.
