Her mobile rang for the 4th time as she picked it up...it was a message from some unknown number...she let out an irritated sigh mumbling a not again, anjali who was sitting beside her, looked at her confused and asked her the reason of sudden change in her mode, payal rolled her eyes at that stranger for ruining her mode and replied her best friend 'anji i have been receiving messgaes of congratulations from an unknown number since yesterday, and it also says your close friend, now you tell me who this close friend could possibly be? Also why is that person congratulating me again and again...it's irritating you know, also i am worried who it could be...
Anjali listened her carefully and a moment her eyes widened 'may be it's her!!' Payal starred at her confused for a while before shaking her head 'No it can't be her, she left 5 years back and never she thought of coming back then why now?' Anjali nodded agreeing to her 'how about we call this close friend and get our answers' payal shook her head 'are you crazy, what if it's some boy...'
Anjali rolled her eyes 'shut up you scared puppy, leg me call from my number' she noted the number from payal's mobile and called, at first no one received but after several bells finally someone picked it up
'hello who is it' a girl from the other side greeted, payal and anjali's eyes widened in surprise as they instantly recognised the owner of this voice 'khushi...khushi it's you right' payal asked in a shaky voice 'yes it's me khushi...but who are you?'
'Is'nt it great khushi, the friend who you have been congratulating since yesterday for her engagement, you can't even recognise her voice' payal couldn't help but tell it to her, her voice filled with a lot of emotions as she said it, khushi was one of their amazing friend...all of them were close to her and then one day...no she shouldn't go back there
What followed after what payal said was silence from both the ends as it took a moment for all three of them to control themselves 'payal..it's you payal?' Khushi asked, her voice cracked a little, feeling overwhelmed
'Yes it's me payal, but i wonder how out of the blue you remember us khushi? 5 years back you disappeared into thin air as if we never existed between us... as if we were nothing to you...was it so khushi?'
Khushi wiped her tears as she answered her 'do you really think payal that I can forget any of you? And who wanted to leave 5 years back, it was something i never wished to happen but then life is'nt a bed of rosses neither it works the way we wish it to happen , so i had to go, without my wish... i returned back to Delhi just a month back that too for some important work 'what the hell!!! You are in Delhi from last one month still you didn't consider it important to come and meet us' anjali said out of nowhere, starring at the mobile unbelievably
'Anjali, it was anjali right payal...she is with you' khushi asked as a smile appeared on her lips 'yes it's me anjali but you tell me why the hell you didn't come to meet us when you were in delhi khushi?'
'how can i just come anjali? You all will ask me the reason of disappearing years ago and i just can't tell anyone anything about my past' khushi replied as a tear rolled down her eye but she wiped it away asking them 'leave it, tell me how are you both? And how is akash, aman and ar...i meant how are everyone else???
'Everyone are fine and Arnav is also fine and because you are in Dlehi so I want you to attend my and akash's engagement today' payal said 'but i can't payal please try to understand' 'no khushi i don't want any excuse...you have to come and don't worry no one will ask anything from you...not even Him...' payal tried to assure her 'so now i will see you tonight...bye'
Disconnecting the call payal and anjali looked at each other, they were a little upset that khushi chose to leave instead of sharing her problems with them years ago but were happy too because they will meet their best friends after years while on the other side of the city khushi was lost in her own world
'What if any of them asked me the reason of leaving without informing them? What if arnav...' she was lost in her own world then a knock at her cabin door brought her back to the real world 'come in' she permitted the person to get in and thanked him silently for this disturbance as she could put a stop at her thoughts about him 'Ma'am Mr.Mehta is here...everything is ready in the meeting room' her P.A informed her
'Ohk you go and i will be there' she told him on which he nodded and turned to leave but was stopped by her that instant 'wait' 'yes ma'am' 'listen to me, i have to leave before 6 so if i have any important meeting lined up for the day, cancel them all and reschedule it for tomorrow ' she ordered on which he nodded and left her cabin
