The meeting began with a shocked Arvind trying to register the scenario in front of him, That nobody girl, Khushi Gupta was now sitting in front of him in a complete different avatar, the girl who couldn't event arrange a few lacs for her father's treatment was now leading a deal of crores. While? Arnav was surprised finding Khushi in front of him he was even smiling while khushi went on with discussing their project in hands, he was really proud of her but this didn't divert his attention from the project, he was all ears towards the discussion going on while khushi for the moment put aside all the thoughts and dealt with them in the same way like she would do with any other client though deep down she was happy that she got a chance to portray this side of her in front of Arnav

Soon when the meeting end, there was a knock at the door and varun entered after khushi allowed him 'Ma'am sir is here, he is waiting for you in his cabin ' he informed and she frowned 'who is waiting varun?' 'Ayaan sir ma'am, he had came 15 minutes back but didn't come to you as you were in a meeting' her eyes widened just on the mention of Ayaan, she stood up and lightly nodded at varun 'tell him I will be there in a while' she told him sending him back

Composing herself she turned to her clients who were unfortunately Arnav and Arvind 'so gentlemen as you can see I have a guest, waiting for me, If you can excuse me' she said and they both stood up 'Of course Miss Gupta, the meeting went well too I hope we will do this project together, it's really profitable for both our companies' said Arnav forwarding his hand for a formal hand shake, she took it in her hands while agreeing to him 'well Mr.Raizada, we will then look forward to hear from you that how did you find the discussion we had and are you willing to invest in this project with us, we will be waiting, thank you for your time, have a good day, Good bye' khushi finally put an end to the meeting with a formal smile

Arnav let go of her hand unwillingly and could very well notice that she was in hurry 'Good Bye Khushi' he said while she was going to leave but stopped and turn to look at him, their eyes met and she smiled , he returned back her smile after which she left

Varun came to them as soon as they were out of khushi's cabin, he was told by Khushi to accompany them till car, Arnav was leaving but stopped when they were walking towards the elevator 'dad I guess I have forgotten our file inside, you go back to office, I will join you there' he told Arvind, and Arvind who was still a little lost nodded and left with varun beside him, he then went to khushi's cabin to get his file

While leaving he was looking around and that's when his eyes landed on something or rather someone, he was outside the cabin of Mr Ayaan Khurana, but what caught his attention was Khushi hugging some guy which he in his state of shock concluded to be The Ayaan Khurana only

Arnav was at loss of words but he realized that he is invading someone's personal space so decided to leave from there but it was too late to walk away, khushi had already noticed him thus she broke the hug and called out for him, she didn't expect him to be here and hoped that he didn't see them hugging but who was she kidding, the moment Arnav heard her call and turned to them she could see a pool of questions in his eyes, and above all there was pain visible in those black orbs of his, he was hurt

'Arnav please come in' she requested and passing an apologetic smile for disturbing them he came inside, khushi's heart was beating faster then usual as ayaan slipped his hand around her waist and turned to her after looking at Arnav from head to toe, signalling her to introduce them, while Arnav was starring straight at her hoping for something good and not something that would make his messed up world a lot more messy but when had his wishes came true?

Khushi came forward with ayaan and introduced them 'Arnav meet Ayaan, My fiance and Ayaan he is Arnav, My friend from university and also our client for the new project we might start working together very soon, remember the one I informed you about last week.' She said introducing them, ayaan heard her attentively while Arnav stood rotted on his spot 'She is Engaged' his heart stated and he could hear his heart breaking into millions of pieces

Ayaan came forward and shook hand with Arnav 'nice to meet you Arnav' said ayaan with a formal smile and Arnav nodded 'same here Mr.Khurana' he said with utmost difficulty, he was sweating, he couldn't stand there anymore and witness his world breaking apart in front of him, that the girl he loved with all his might belong to someone else

Composing himself and clearing his throat to sound normal as much as possible he continued 'umm actually I was around only because i forgot my file in khushi's cabin, I will leave now I have a meeting and i have to reach office' saying so he exchange greetings with them and left but not before congratulating them for their engagement while ayaan made khushi sit on the couch and sat beside her

He was talking about how much he missed her but her mind was just stuck at Arnav, she could see how this news broke the little hope he had for them, how within a blink she took away all his happiness, how she snatched his smile and left him only with tears, her eyes turned moist with just the thought of seeing him hurt and that pain in his eyes 'God please help me, I have lost my love in the hands of destiny but I don't want to loose my friend, please help me, I can't just lose him, I can't lose Arnav'

Her heart bled on just the thought of losing him as a friend too, she was lost in her own thoughts when ayaan shook her bringing her back to the world around her, the reality of her life , he was talking about Arnav only, actually about her friends

'Khushi, you might have other friends too, from university right?' He asked and she nodded 'get a grip on yourselve khushi' she scolded herself and nodded at ayaan's question 'we were a group of six, me, anjali, payal, aman, akash and arnav' she ended with a half smile 'wow great, let's invite them for dinner tonight ' 'what? Why ayaan, there is no need for that!' She said shocked with this sudden plan of his

'Come on khushi, they are your friends, they must be important for you, so I want to meet them all too after all i am your fiance' he said and tried convincing her with different reasons and after which she finally gave in to his pleads, whatever relation they might share now, one relation between them was true and forever, relation of friendship and she couldn't deny him for anything, she sighed 'fine I will invite them all'

Saying so she excused herself and went to her cabin, anjali had added her in the WhatsApp group of those five and so she just left a message there asking them all to come and that she don't want to listen no from them

Once done she turned to go out but found ayaan standing there only starring at her with the charming smile of his 'done' she said and his smile widened 'by the way weren't you suppose to return next month?' 'Yes but I was missing you that's why I am back' he said and winked at her, she rolled her eyes, 'you really want me to buy this ' she said rolling her eyes and he laughed 'okay fine, My deal was last project was nearing its end so I thought to pay you a visit once it finish, and it did, the day before yesterday' 'oh ohkay, but for how long will you be here?' 'I haven't decided anything but one thing is for sure, this time I won't go back alone' he said with a glint of happiness in his eyes but she frowned

'What do you mean?' 'I mean that I won't go back before making you mine. Abto shaadi karke tumhe apni dulhan bana kar lejaonga' he said excitedly while a shiver ran down her spine  'wait but what's the hurry ayaan' she couldn't help but ask him 'come on khush, it's been two years to our engagement, and you still think we shouldn't hurry' he asked and she fumbled 'I'm sorry I...I didn't mean it that way but...' she started but he interrupted

'No if's and but's khush, this time I am here just for our marriage, everyone will come here along with dad next month and we will get married within two months, and this is my final decision, I hope i am clear with it' saying so he walked away leaving a upset khushi behind

' Oh God what's happening with me, life couldn't have been any more messed up than this, how will Arnav react on this.. what should I do now' she cried out hiding her face in her hands as she hugged her knees aware of the storm that's awaiting her. Life is actually is going to turn worst then it already was.
