Part 6

Arnav was in his room, tears were pouring down his cheeks as if he lost something very precious thing in this world and it's actually true that he had lost, lost khushi his love his life, his everything... 5 years ago she left him without saying anything still he had waited for her but khushi, how can she move on forgetting him, flashback of her hug with ayaan was coming again and again in his mind how can she forget me too easily or maybe she never loved me, how can I be so stupid how? his thoughts were disturbed by anjali, he hurriedly wiped his tears and start working on his lappy so that he can ignore facing anjali

'Bhai, we are invited for dinner tonight and we are going so leave all this work and get ready, it's already past 7' anjali told him and he frowned 'dinner, with whom?' Arnav asked 'bhai I want it to be a surprise' she said cutely bitting her lips but what she didn't know was that her brother was in no mode for anything, he had faced a horrible reality today and he need time to accept it thus he sighed 'Anji, I don't have time for all these surprises so please just tell me straight about this dinner ' he said in one go and turned towards his laptop 'khushi' he who was typing something but froze on hearing her name 'khushi' he whispered lightly, that not even anjali could hear him 'what about khushi?' He asked after composing himself 'actually she is the one who called all of us for dinner at her place ' she told him and he can't help but think if the day can turn anymore worst or not

He sighed 'you go I am not coming' He said and pretended to type something 'bhai' She uttered unsure of what she heard 'did you really say no ?' He just shrugged and just then aman, payal and akash entered inside his room 'hey dude, so are you both ready?' Akash asked and anjali sighed 'bhai is saying he can't come with us to khushi's place' it took them a few seconds to understand what anjali told them 'okay, arnie, you are joking right?' Payal asked and arnav just shook his head 'no I am not payal, I am actually busy and I have to prepare a presentation by tonight' He told them all trying his best to not to break down in front of them

'Sorry arnie, excuse not taking, get ready we are going' aman said casually and arnav kind of glared at him 'why should I ? Koi zabardasti hai kiya?' He asked a bit irritated 'Well yes, Mr.Arnav Singh Raizada, we know you quite enough to understand it's not some presentation, there is something else and if you are not willing to tell us the actual reason then you better get ready and come with us, you have 20 minutes and I guess that's enough ' aman said and he was lip tight, he really didn't want to tell them anything, because it will make him weak and he don't want to show himself weak in front of anyone else, not anymore

'Fine' he said and walked away towards his wardrobe, anjali thanked aman and they made their outside his room, in no time arnav was ready and they all left for khushi's place, as they rang the bell, a servant opened the door for them 'you people sit, ma'am and sir are coming in a minute' servant told them and made his way towards the kitchen

Though him mentioning about some sir confused them but they chucked it away not really thinking it as anything important while arnav sighed painfully 'it's going to be tough, to watch them together again' He thought disheartened with how twisted his life is, nothing, and he mean it nothing is in his favour,

Maids came and served them drinks and snacks and just then khushi came downstairs with ayaan 'guyz, thank you so much for accepting my invitation ' She greeted them all and hugged anjali and payal and completely avoiding arnav who's eyes were just on her 'how are you all?' She asked and they talked a bit until she noticed them looking at ayaan confused 'Oops! I am sorry I forgot to introduce you people' 'Finally you remembered about me' ayaan sighed and slipped his hand behind her, holding her close by her waist, five of them widened their eyes, four of them in shock and confusion while arnav in pain and hurt

khushi tried to smiled at them 'guys he is ayaan, my fianc' and as she said, she could see them turning their focus to arnav, she too did so and could see him trying to mask his emotions 'khush...' ayaan called out for her and she diverted her attention at him 'I have met arnav but introduce me to other too, properly ' He asked with a small smile and she nodded introducing him to four of them who in response too met reluctantly

'Please sit guys, khushi I will be back in a minute' ayaan excused himself and taking a deep breath she turned to her friends who were looking at her with lots of questions in their mind fidgeting with her hands she started 'ayaan is my cousin, two years back we got engaged on our parents wish and now he is back for our marriage ' She told them without meeting their eyes, she was really scared, she knew she broke their hearts especially arnav, she killed his hopes and she was scared to see hatred or any kind of anger in their eyes for her

'Bhai, when did you come to know ?' Anjali asked arnav 'today afternoon' khushi heard his whisper And what she heard next made her heart bled 'that was why you were crying when I came and that's why you didn't want to come' Anjali was confronted her brother totally forgetting about others around her, her heart broke for her brother but when she turned to khushi she could see her silently shedding tears too, her heart broke for both of them, she don't know why khushi left but she know that if her brother was waiting for his khushi then khushi too wanted to be with him, her situation right now screams that on her face

Anjali sighed helplessly,  how she wish that she could do something for both of them but it seems impossible,  nothing is in her hands now, she intertwined her fingers lightly closing her eyes for a few seconds to pray to God, to bring happiness in these two important people of her life, they deserved happiness and they deserved each other

Note I know I promised to update regularly and I know I broke the our promise but I have a valid reason for that,the day I last updated, the same day I lost my grand father, someone whom I loved a lot, he was ill and this time he couldn't fight it and lost the battle of life, I was really very close to him and it took me sometime to accept it and move on, I am sorry for late update but I will try to be regular now
