Click! "Honey, is that you," I say calling out to my daughter. I look at the clock it's only 6:17 she should still be at work. "Todd," I call for my husband. This is not like him to come back from a business trip early without telling me. If it is them they would have speacked by now. I start to get worried. I take deep breaths. I go to take the knife from the counter but it's not there. For one second I blink but the lights turn off, I'm not alone and I don't think it's my daughter.

I lounge to grab my phone but it's not there. I run to the door but its locked, no matter what I do this person is ahead of me. My heart is racing and pounding so hard. "Honey, Kat," I'm now screaming so loud it hurts. "Ka," my breath falls just short as the knife cuts through my neck.
