Once Upon a Time, years and years and years and years, before the fathers of our fathers of our fathers, there were five Great Sages and one Songstress.

Rowena Ravenclaw the Rational, whom held a fair hand, and made every decision a wise one.

Helga Hufflepuff the Heartfelt, whom cared for all as if the world was a disabled child and she was its doting mother.

Godric Gryffindor the Gallant, whom faced thousands of men at a time and took each down with flourish and finesse.

Salazar Slytherin the Self-Assured, whom kept to his traditional values, and never allowed someone who was weak to stand in his way.

Detron Dwimloff the Dissident, whom allowed his scoundrel ways to lead him to the victory of a lifetime.

And Selenia the Songstress, whom had the face of a goddess, but the heart of the devil.

Together, the five Great Sages taught the children of Ni No Kuni spells and trained them in the art of magic, whilst protecting the world from all who came against it, including Selenia herself.

Selenia put herself above all, tucked away, as queen of Xanadu, a city she created to fly over the world to watch over all and to cause mayhem at her desire, with her dimwitted husband to cater to her every need. She believed herself the most powerful in all of the world, someone who was feared by all.

And the most beautiful of all. She wore her blonde hair long so it reached her hips and flowed in luscious curls, her pale skin clear and completely unblemished, her eyes small and sparkled like sunlight on water, though they glittered darkly with her evil ways. Her lips formed a graceful, pale pink smile, and she was tall, with petite hands and feet. She was a Veela, in every way, shape, and form.

Above all, she wore a headband that bore letters of the Nazcaan alphabet. These letters read the words

Power and beauty above all. Suffer under thy hand.

With these words and her beauty, Selenia ruled with an evil hand. Putting her kingdom to work as slaves for herself, pampering to her body to keep herself looking young and beautiful.

The Great Sages worked their hardest to free the people of Xanadu from Selenia's clutches, but Selenia spoke truthfully when she said that she was the most powerful woman in the land. She quite possibly was. She set traps for them, should they ever attempt to help the people off the island, and refused to allow those who desired to learn magic.

The sages were losing hope, but Dwimloff wasn't ready to give up yet. He searched high and low for a solution to the problem. Often, he came home to his wife tired, and often beaten, as though he'd been through many a fight.

Until the day he discovered it. Gateway.

Dwimloff discovered the spell by accident, in an attempt to use it against an attacker. He opened his eyes, and found himself in another world. A world, where witches and wizards often found themselves being burned at the stake for their magical talents that they had no control over, much like the people of Xanadu.

Upon that day, Dwimloff used the spell to release the people of Xanadu, and bring them out of the world entirely and back to the new world, where he taught those who were willing to learn how to use and control their magic.
