"For the love of Pete," Bubblegum mumbled and pulled out her own gun, pointing it at Marshall. "Marshall let her go and they'll drop their weapons. Her and I will leave and everything will be okay."
"No!" He yelled. "I refuse to let you all-"
"Marshall!"
---
"Marshall!" I shouted dropping to the floor beside him. He was gripping his stomach, blood pouring from his wound. "You shot him!" I screamed, looking at Bubblegum.
She dropped her gun, her hands immediately moving to her mouth. "Marcy I-"
"Shut up!" I lifted him, holding him tight in my arms. "Marshall? C'mon you're okay." I pet his head, gently shaking him. "Please. Wake up, please."
Fiona dropped her sword, pushing Gumball back and ran towards us. She dropped to her knees, touching his leg. I slapped her hand away, hissing at her. She moved back, her gaze never leaving his face. "Is he-"
"Don't say it."
"-dead?"
"No. No. No. No." I repeated, shaking my head. "He- He's okay, okay? He's sleeping." I looked down at him, his cheeks paler than normal. Oh gosh, no. "Marshall, please." I rested my head on his forehead, tears spilling from my eyes. I couldn't stop them from falling. My heart felt like its been snatched from my chest and I was forced to watch them smash it with a hammer. It hurt,
Badly.
I kissed his nose, inhaling a shaky breath. "Please." I whispered. I looked up, looking around the room. Everyone was in tears, everyone except Bubblegum. That heartless-
"Its your fault!" I gently rested his head on the floor, standing to my feet. "You did this." I slowly stalked toward her, my eyes burning with rage. My fist unconsciously balled themselves into fist, and right before my fist made contact I heard a small cough.
"Marcy, no."
"Marshall?!" I ran back towards him, pulling him into my arms. "Are you okay?"
"I'm-" his face scrunched up in pain, "fine." He pulled me to his height, "I'm fine love, totally faking it." He whispered.
I pulled back looking down at him in disbelief. "Whaat?!" I whisper-shouted.
"Get them on the time thing and send them off, it'll be just you and me. Its my plan," he winked.
I slowly nodded, "okay." He smiled before shutting his eyes and resting his head on the floor. Luckily for him I was an amazing actress. "Marshall?!" I fake yelled.
Everyone gasped.
"You killed him!" I yelled, running towards Fiona and grabbed her sword. I swung it in her face, barely missing her throat. "Get back!" I shouted.
"Mar-"
"Don't say a thing. I'll cut you," I threatened. I watched as they raised their hands, eyes wide with fear. Slowly, I managed to move them all towards the green panel and I smirked. "Any last words? Bubblegum, Gumball, Fiona?"
"Why are you doing this?" Bubblegum sniffled.
"Because I love him."
"And I love her."
I turned towards his voice and smiled, he ripped his shirt open. Tons of creampuffs fell out his shirt, I snorted. "Bye guys," he laughed and then pressed a button on the control. The panel started to glow, the three teleporting inside the machine. They banged on the glass, begging not to go. I shrugged, walking towards Marshall and wrapped my arm around his waist.
The room shined a bright white, swooshing sounds erupting from the machine, then in a instant they were gone. A dark spot remained. Marshall slowly removed his arms from around me and stared at the spot, I did the same. "We... we did it."
"We did."
"They're gone."
"They are."
Silence.
"Woo, yeah! We did it!" I cheered jumping into his arms, he chuckled spinning me in circles. "We're freaking amazing!"
"Yeahhhh we are!" He gently placed me on the floor, dipping me before kissing me. I kissed back, wrapping my arms around his neck. He lifted me upright, smiling. "Marceline I-"
"F-fiona?"
We turned towards the voice, it was Cake. "Oops," I whispered, "I forgot one."
"Yup," he whispered back.
"You- Why? Why take Fiona away?!"
"Umm... sorry?" I grabbed Marshall's hand and pulled him towards the door. "Sorry for all of this... gottogobye!" Marshall and I ran through the castle halls and out the front doors, I tackled him in the grass causing us to roll downhill. The afternoon was filled with laughter and bliss, I was so overjoyed. Marshall and I were together, with no interferance with the past or jealous wanna be partners. Everything was alright.
I straddled him, letting my hair fall around him. He looked up at me and grinned, his hands moving to my hips. I leaned down, whispering, "it's just us."
"I wouldn't want it any other way," he whispered back, pressing his lips against mine. I kissed back, smiling. He smiled back, tickling my sides. I began to squirm, jumping up and running away. He chased me, wrapping his arms around my stomach and kissed my neck. In this moment, I was happy.
In this moment, I felt loved.
In this moment, I knew I had found home. Here, with Marshall; this was my home, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
Fin.
