The Party

I'm extremely nervous. Not only about how the party will turn out too. I'm meeting the other RFA members for the first time tonight.

I took a good two hours doing my makeup and hair, and I even splurged on a new dress as well. This would be my first public appearance, and the other's first impression of me.

I was lucky enough to hail a taxi fairly quickly tonight. That's no easy feat in the busy town we live in. Perhaps being well dressed helped.

After being extremely careful to not get mud on myself I told the taxi driver the address of the party, and found myself getting more and more nervous.

What if they don't like me? What if no guests show up? What if the guests do show up but they dislike the appetizers I chose, or the music?!

All of these thoughts ran through my head as I handed the taxi driver payment, and hopped out onto the damp pavement outside the car. Of course none of these things would happen, but I was still extremely nervous.

I walk up to the giant front doors of the hall, and am greeted by a woman who I recognise as Jaehee, or assistant Kang as Jumin liked to call her.

She was dressed respectfully but I couldn't help thinking she seemed to dress quite plain as well, as if she was trying to not draw attention to herself.

"Hello Jaehee." I smile. It's wonderful to finally meet her in person.

"Y/N?" She asks, and drinks in my face. While she had sent pictures of herself to the chatroom, I hadn't. Another reason why I was so nervous. Only Seven knew what I looked like. I nod yes and she smiles brightly. "It's lovely to finally meet you."

"You look great tonight." I say, and mean it. Although she's dressed plainly she somehow makes her basic dress and cardigan look like something a supermodel would wear.

She blushes lightly. "You do as well. If you don't mind, I think you should go greet some of the guests." And with that she opens the doors to the halls and I leave.

As I walk into the hall I gasp. The room is decorated in gold, with a complimenting shade of red. It's much more elegant than I could ever imagine. I'm lost in the beauty of it all before I hear a familiar voice; Yoosung.

Hes chatting with a guest I recognise as a game developer. They say their goodbye's and soon I'm approaching him. As I walk up to him I see his face turn bright red, leading my face to turn the same shade.

"Yoosung?" I say.

"Wait... Y/N?" He responds, and when I nod he embraces me in a tight hug. I'm shocked at his height. The constant teasing of his 'short stature' lead me to believe that he was going to be all of 5'1" but I couldn't be more wrong. He was actually taller than me!

"You look amazing tonight." He says, and if my face could go any redder it would.

"You look great too." I respond. "Ah, I should go greet the other guests." I realise, but then I get nervous. I begin scratching my palms, an old habit I do when I get like this.

Somehow Yoosung recognises this and grabs my hands in his own. His are soft and warm, much unlike my cold, clammy ones. "It'll be alright," he looks straight into my eyes with his soft purple ones. "You can do it."

"Thank you." I say, and as much as I want to hold his hands forever I force myself to release them.

"Y/N?" He looks nervous all of a sudden.

"Yes?" I ask. I'm nervous again too for some reason.

"Would you like to go to a movie with me some time?" He's staring at his shoes with his hands in his pockets.

Was he asking me out on a date?! I've never thought of him that way, but it doesn't hurt to try, right?

"Sure." I smile. He gets the silliest grin on his face and I can't help but giggle. I then say my goodbyes to him and promise to text him later before heading off to greet some more guests.

Unlike with Yoosung, Seven sees me first. "Y/N!" he shouts and we get some looks.

"Seven!" I scold but then lighten up. Laughing, I ask him how he's been.

"You need to come by my place sometime." He says all of a sudden.

"Why?" I ask, confused. Where is this coming from?

"There's lots of stuff there I need to show you," He says, and then proceeds to list off a few computer programs I don't understand and finishes with Honey Buddha Chips.

As weird as I find it the promise of chips is too much and so I agree. We exchange some memes and then I'm on my way again, working my way through the crowd.

I only get through a couple of guests before I notice his silver hair. Zen. I walk up to him and surprise him with a hug.

"Hey, Beautiful." He says, not missing a beat.

"Hello, Handsome." I say back, and he realises who I am.

"Y/N?" He says, shocked.

I laugh. "Yup."

He then hugs me again, but his hugs are much different compared to Yoosungs. Zen towers above me while Yoosung is only a few inches taller.

"You should come with me to practises sometime." He says with a slight blush. Zen blushing? Whats happening to all the boys tonight?

Is this another date? Nonetheless I say yes.

We converse for a bit, and then I head out. So far everyone seems fine with me. The only person left to find is Jumin.

Before I can find him though I hear a sneeze and see a white thing zoom past me. "Elly!" Seven's voice cries from somewhere to my left.

I dart after her, glad I didn't wear heels like I had wanted tonight. I've soon got her cornered, and not long after in my arms. Despite her attempted escape she purrs happily.

"Elizabeth the third!" I hear a deep voice scold behind me.

When I turn around I see it's Jumin. "Jumin?" I question.

"Y/N?" He responds. "Thank you for catching her. I have no clue why she would do anything like that..."

"It was no trouble." I lie.

"No, it was trouble," He responds. "I saw you running across the room."

I blush. I may have made a fool of myself.

"Let me take you out for dinner sometime. To repay you." He says as I hand Elizabeth back to him. Four dates in one evening?!

Before I can get out a 'no' he interrupts. "It's not up for discussion. I'll have assistant Kang make reservations, and I'll get a hold of you soon." And with that he left me and headed up to the stage to greet the guests.

How did this happen?
