Just for that very second, Youngji couldn't make out even a word to shove back at her brother. Everything he said was true. JYP Industries belonged to their late father. In fact, it was passed down from generations to generations. Fulfilling every task and danger given by each president.

Their father was remembered as a man of fair business, a family man and a boss. Their father's death was terrible and it ended up being caused by a vial of poison, said that such a man would commit suicide just like that. Youngji's family knew very well that their father would never do something that would cause their family great trauma. Youngji knew in her heart that someone somewhere murdered her father in cold blood.

She also knew that if she refused to take up JYP Industries after her brother, it would bring shame to their family's name.

As Jinyoung came down to his last sip of his tea he put his cup down, "I'll take that as a yes." he grinned.

"That is all." Jinyoung stood up and walked over to Youngji. He then put her in his arms as he rested his head on her shoulder, his head close to her ear, "My men will be informing you, so don't worry if you forget."

Jinyoung pulled away, gave a sly wink then exited his office.

Youngji was still lost in words. She could do nothing but plunge helplessly backwards onto the couch, "I have a cruel brother."

The King's Apartment

5:07PM, a week before chaos.

The boys decided to crash the night at Jackson's apartment and play a game of cards, before looking at the busy day ahead of them.

As Jaebum was indulged into the first round, Jackson couldn't help but think of the night Jaebum encountered Jinyoung.

"How could such a close target be missed so easily?" was what he kept thinking to himself.

"Hyung, if you encountered Jinyoung that night." Jackson began, "Why didn't you just.." he paused, "shoot him?"

The tension in the room built up. Jackson quickly regretted his choice of words while Jaebum sat ever so quietly. Youngjae in the other end, became silent as he was on their earpieces.

"Jackson, you didn't have to ask that kind of question." Youngjae scolded.

"Ah.. I'm sorry-"

"He was my friend." Jaebum replied bluntly, "My partner."

No one knew Jaebum's past nor background. All that everyone knew was the fact that Jaebum had no emotions for anyone nor anything. But of course, he had his own morals, his own beliefs and his own values, he gets the job done the right way.

So hearing Jaebum's response made Jackson's eyes widened. He didn't expect that type of answer coming from an agent like Jaebum.

"What.. happened?" Jackson hesitated.

Jaebum looked down at his cards and put it down on the table.

"A year before I was assigned to work with you and Youngjae, Jinyoung was my partner ever since I joined the TSA. When I was 14. " Jaebum sighed.

"I heard he was a traitor." Youngjae suddenly said.

'Traitor' was the word that would bring Jaebum his memories of Jinyoung. It was also a word he would describe such a person.

"He was.." Jaebum pasued, "he is." Jaebum couldn't look at Jackson in the eye, the amount of shame he felt to even once be associated to Jinyoung was unbearable.
