33- Kia

"Kia you need to get to the hospital ASAP. Kole got shot at earlier." I make a U-turn in the middle of the road speeding towards the hospital that we've been visiting a little too often. Hakiem attempts to tell me the room number and floor but I'm barely listening. I need to get to my sister as soon as possible.

When I get up to the room. I'm in awe as I spot my sister and a beautiful baby girl placed lightly in her arms. Scotty sits in the chair across from her bed with another baby wrapped in a blue blanket.

"Kole...? Is there two of them?"

She nods her head yes and I smile. The whole time we thought there was only one little baby in there but she had a friend.

"Now I have to get the boys to paint the other side of the nursery blue so that Demir will be comfortable."

"Demir?"

"Yeah, Niem Demir Outlaw. And Niema Deshay Outlaw."

I try to grab Niem from Scotty but he's not having it. He continuously pushes my hand away every time I reach for him so I give up and go to grab Niema from Kole.

I lay her back properly and she squirms before getting comfortable and placing her hand back in her mouth to sleep. I admire everything about her attempting to spot all the features she has that resembles my sister. Her nose, her lips, round face. Sadly she has her fathers small eyes and one pointed ear. But my niece is beautiful.

I smile to my sister and take a seat on the edge of the bed while she watches me coo over Nini. Hakiem takes a spot next to Scotty congratulating him and taking a peek a Niem.

Everything's interrupted when our father walks in.

I pass the baby back to Kole and she rolls her eyes, before staring at the T.V. as if Maurice isn't even there.

I walk into the hallway and he follows me abruptly shutting the door behind him while my uncles Stanley and Tuff hover over Kole to see the baby.

"Why are you here?"

"I thought I told you stay away from her. And your sisters a liar I thought she was only having one. How the hell she get two? And I heard that her baby daddy didn't even rape her so I came to hear the truth."

"You need to leave, like now. I don't know what's been going on with you since you got out, but don't forget Kole is the reason why your a free man again. I told her to leave your ass in there, because we got this. Now you come home fucking up shit. Whoever's been providing you with your information is trying to get you to ruin this organization and its working. You're so stupid you don-"

"No shut up and listen."

He walks to the stairwell where less people can see us and eavesdrop and I follow him.

"Kole's baby daddy did rape her, you keep thinking she's using me to cover shit up when she's not. So that they would let me go Kole got Aaron to make a deal with her. He could have his way with her as long as I didn't get hurt. So that's what he did. I watched him sexually abuse my sister for four hours. Raping her and beating her until she bled and he was satisfied. He even went as far as letting his security take turns with her. Gagging her until she threw up or shoving themselves inside of her so hard that she would scream uncontrollably while they laughed and told her to shut up and take it."

"So you just sat and watched?"

"I was handcuffed to one of the guards and it was the only way he wouldn't hurt me. What I didn't know was that he continued to abuse her, picking her up from school and doing it, catching her during drops, and kole never said a word so that she could keep me safe. He knew she was pregnant and never said a word to anyone but his brother. Kole knew and never said a word until she started showing. So if you're coming to make her feel shittier than what she already has been feeling these past couple of months.... please just leave."
