chapter 15

The room was silent. Felix looked at his feet , mark studied the room and Annie looked as if SHE was about to slap Felix.

Suddenly Felix sprang from his chair and headed for the door. But just like he had done earlier, Annie grabbed Felix's wrist and held him back. " And where do you think your going." She said sternly.

"to find my friend since you made me feel like a total Bitch. " Felix said trying to break free from his sisters grasp.

"Felix that's not going to do you any good. you will just make him more upset and I hate to say this but one of you will end up getting seriously hurt." Felix just nodded and looked back down at his feet.

"I could go." Mark said looking at the two.

"I think that's a good idea mark." Annie said as Felix say back down.

As mark raced through the trees, stumbling every few minuets, the air grew colder and the night grew darker and it was almost impossible to see anything. Luckily for mark he had remembered to pick up his phone before he was forcefully pulled out of Felix's nice, warm house, and turned on the flashlight. Whilst  looking around , he heard rustling noises circling him . Mark turned around swiftly to see nothing but trees and darkness. He continued forward warily, and kept checking behind him . He suddenly hears a small growl and froze. Yes he knew how to deal with wolves but he was still petrified. He heard it growling as it circled, as he looked down he saw paw prints scattered around .

He stood extremely still.

He didn't move.

He didn't breathe.

He didn't blink.

He just stood in complete silence.

Until he felt a small tug at his pants .

The wolf was....telling him something?

But what?

And why?

The wolf kept on tugging until it started to slowly run off.

It stopped beside a tree and looked bat at mark who was still frozen to the spot. The wolf howled and looked back at mark.

Slowly, mark stepped forward towards the wolf .

more and more , Mark stepped closer.

He had broke into a walk now and the wolf had started to jog to.

The wolf wanted mark to follow him.

Mark came to the realisation and started to jog after the wolf who was also starting to pick up speed.

They raced through the woods until Mark could he a faint muffled sound. It grew louder when suddenly the two came to a sharp drop into a canyon where a rushing river flew beneath. The wolf neared the edge to where the sound was coming from, as mark peered over the edge he could see a crying , green haired boy , frozen to a small ledge below them.

"o my god Jack!" Mark said as he slowly started to crawl down. It wasn't a long jump from the surface so Mark got down easily. As he sat down next to Jack, he could see the young teen shaking in fear as he looked directly forwards, not even turning his head to look a mark.

"H-h-hi m-m-m-mark." His voice shook as he spoke softly.

"How did you get down here?" Mark asked as Jack gulped.

"oh, you know. Just um, r-running through the forest at um, 10 at night. A-as you do and um, seems I stood on a bear trap." Jack said pointing at his messed up foot which was entangled in a small metal bear trap. "An then you know, being clumsy and all I um, stumble off a crumbling cliff side and well, h-hear i am." He said desperately trying to laugh through it.

"Jack?" Mark said calmly. "Any chance you scared of heights?"

"Oh you know, Just a bit terrified of all heights, no biggie." He said still shaking in a mixture of pain and fear. Just then the ledge they were sat on started to crumble and Jack let out a small yelp.

"Mark I need a distraction, anything Just calm me the fuck down before I ...u know" Jack said with panic on his face.

A distraction?, mark thought.

um..........

oh i got one.

Mark lifted a hand up to Jacks face and quickly pressed his lips onto Jack's.

Jack turned to mark wide eyes, a smile slowly perking onto his face. "Good distraction ." Jack said softly. Just then the ledge began to crumble more and the distraction began to ware off.

"Lets get you out of hear shall we. "Mark said calmly as his eyes darkened and his clothes bled into  dark greys and reds. He picked up Jack bridal style and they both teleported off of the cliff and back to the shed where Annie and Felix had stayed.

"oh my god Jack ." Annie said whilst rushing over to grab the first aid kit on the wall. mark placed Jack down on a chair and looked down at his leg where he saw blood dripping from his pants. He rolled the m up to see a small twig , impaled in his leg. He gripped the stick and pulled it out of his skin. As he looked at the stick his eyes changed and the room began to spin.

"mark?" Felix said rushing over to him as mark hit the floor with a large thud.
