All That Matters

To those who misunderstand, gender is either male or female. Some have come to accept transgender, where either a male born is really female and a female born is really a male.

They are sometimes more accepted once gone through hormone and/or surgical transition -by some.

Unfortunately the older generation tend to be much more narrow minded than the younger.

Something that has more recently been coming into light are those who identify as non-binary, agender or gender fluid. This is when one person born either male or female feel that they are either both, neither or swap between the two genders.

So many argue that they are not to be validated because there can only be two genders (what they are actually talking about are the two physical sexes). That these people are 'sick' and should seek help from a psychiatrist and other ignorant comments and views.

Maybe a psychiatrist could be helpful, to deal with how they feel and how to cope especially if they lack support else where.

But not to 'cure' them. That in my opinion is ludicrously ignorant.

I was born a female, and I feel completely in myself that I am female.

I went through a tomboy faze when I was younger up to about 14 (when I started to gain interest in love). I feel my tomboy stage was to prove girls weren't weak! Not that I knew that at the time I was just being me.

But just because I have not personally experienced any gender identity issue does not mean I invalidate it.

My family taught me not to care what people looked like, who they were attracted to or anything else one could come up with.

My favourite saying was an answer from my dad to a question I no longer remember. But his reply has stuck with me my whole life.
