The Fallen Angel - Underfell

The plan

When Papyrus came home, he heard muted voices. Light was burning in the living room so he decided to take a peek.
Papyrus couldn't believe what he saw.
"Sans........with a girl?...but who and how??" A lot of questions were wandering through his mind.
Papyrus didn't know if he should bargain in like a madman or not.
Sans looked so happy with her. It had been ages since he saw Sans so happy. It was clear he loved him.
He couldn't enter his house and completely ignore them but then again Sans would panic because he never told Papyrus about her.
"Why didn't he ever mention her to me...why did he hide this from me? He knows he gets punished when he hides things from me..." As soon as Papyrus said this, memories of a beaten up , heavily in pain Sans flashed through his mind.
"Okay...maybe I'm too harsh for him."
He examined the girl he has never seen her before...she looked different. "A new monster perhaps?"
He grabbed his phone and wanted to ask Undyne but stopped when he saw them kissing.
"No, I shouldn't interfere with them...not now atleast."
He sighted and opened the door.

Sans froze when he heard the door open.
"Oh fuck...."
Papyrus entered the room looking really tired.
"Sans...I'm going to bed. Please don't make too many noise."
His eyes hovered over Frisk for a second.
"Goodnight."
Papyrus went to his room.
"Sans? What just happend?" Frisk asked him.
"I have no idea....something tells me something is wrong I think I should take a look to see if he's okay."
"Sure about that?"
"Yea"
"Okay then"
Sans stood up and walked over to Papyrus' room.
"Boss? Are you alright?"
No response.
Sans knocked on the door.
"Boss??"
Sans couldn't take the anticipation and opened the door.
Papyrus sat on his bed, with his hands on his skull.
He looked as if he was crying.
"Boss? What's wrong?"
"Sans..." Papyrus' voice sounded weak.
"Why are we so evil?"
"Evil? How do you mean?"
"I treat you like shit..."
"I deserve it Boss...I'm a little shit all the time."
"No you're not, you're my brother for fucks sake we should take care of eachother....not beat each other up."
Sans got really worried about his brother.
It was the first time in forever that he had actually talked like this.
"Boss..."
"STOP WITH THE BOSS!" Papyrus snapped.
"I'm not your boss...I'm your brother. Little brother nonetheless."
"Papyrus, are you feeling sick?"
"I just...think we should stop the tough facade."
"Bo- Bro do you remember why we started that facade? You got attacked and got hurt really badly. Remember??"
"Yes I do Sans...but I grew older now. I'm old enough now."
"Did Mettaton say any nonsense maybe?"
"He said he wanted a life with a happy ending...he got sick of the kill or be killed rule."
"For once I agree..."
Papyrus looked up.
"That's why you didn't wanted to hurt me...isn't it?"
"Yea."
"Sans...will we ever be able to stop this? I don't want to hurt others any more, I just want a life where i can be myself. Not this life where I have to hurt and torture others."
"But Boss....Bro I mean..you are under Undyne's command. She won't ever give this life up."
"As long as we can convince other monsters..."
"How? Both you and me aren't that convincing considering everyone is scared of you."
"Then who can?"

Sans only could think of one person....Frisk
"Well, I can only think of one person.."
"Who?"
Sans got flustered.
"Well...eh...my eh...girlfriend..." he tried to say it as quiet as possible.
Papyrus didn't say anything so Sans wasn't sure he had heard it or not.
"Sans...that girl...is she a human?"
Sans was shocked and didn't know what to say.
"N-no she's....she's a new monster!!"
"Sans....you've always been a terrible liar."
Papyrus stood up from his bed and bolted downstairs.
Sans panicked and ran after him. When he got downstairs, his eye sockets widened.
He saw Papyrus hugging a very confused Frisk.
"You...you can stop this madness. If it weren't for you....my brother wouldn't have change. I wouldn't have seen how badly I treat him and how bad this world is. Thank you so much."
"Eh...Pap...how...how did you know she's a human?" Sans squeaked, he really didn't know how to reply to the sudden change in his brother's behavior.
"I've read books, they were about humans and the way they looked like. About how humans their determination was a very strong thing. Only a human would be capable of changing this world forever."
"But what if Undyne finds out?"
"I won't ever tell her, but if she eventually does, we will protect the human."
"Papyrus?" Frisk said.
"Yes human?"
"Can you...let me go now?"
"Oh...sure, I'm sorry I didn't realise."
"It's okay."
"Bro? Can she...live here now in our house?"
"Of course she can."
"And....Is she allowed to sleep in my room?
"Sure I wouldn't see why not."
"Great"
"But only if you sleep here on the sofa."
"Wait what?"
"You think I'll let her sleep with you just because I'm happy for you two? Sans I know how much of a fucking pervert you are.
"But...."
"No but's I'll let you once I think it's okay."
Frisk didn't say anything but was secretly a little grateful Papyrus didn't let them share a room together yet.
Sans on the other hand, wasn't so happy about it but was glad Papyrus accepted her as his girlfriend.
