The laugh of a child is so precious and tender,
That smile that lights up,
Those eyes that beam bright,
The way the cheeks rise and extend,

It's like the world has stoped and only you and your happiness are still alive,
It's like finding a four leaf clover in a field full of daisy's,
It's like the cure to all the roots of evil,
It's like a heart beat that will never die,

A sound filled with a great amount of bliss can only survive in an environment of acceptance,

An environment that allows you to be able to wear it with your smile,
To be able to use it as your tears,
To be able to have it as a coping mechanism,
To be able to hold it as a sign for help,
To be able to express it as a voice that can only impact those who listen,
To be able to guide it as your light,

A light that will shine as bright as their dreams may go,
Lead a way for others to see and walk along the same path,

On every path there is a tree that can block the road,
Some can just walk around but some may just stare,
The light eventually dims every second waisted staring at the tree,
Those who just stare at the tree watch their light fade into another color,
A darker color that leaves you paralyzed in front of the same tree,

Only some can hear the sound of happiness die slowly in front of them,
They can hear the dull cry for help,
The somber laughter that once was so vivid it could allow the blind to see the happiness that was once there,

A laughter that was quieted down by the ones who helped elevate it,
A light that was dimmed by the ones who told you to turn it on,
The spirit that is now broken by the ones who made it worth while,

The laugh of a child is as precious as it's first,
Later on to see the laughter will no longer be there,
Replaced my another but not disappeared.
