part 02.
the piece of paper.the air between them was filled with nothing but silence. and of course airu's shaky breath. "wh- who would send you something like this, kou-" airu stopped abruptly. "i mean- sent me something like this? what kind of sick girl would do this! it's creeping me out!"
bokuto was still silent. the package came out more like a threat than a package itself. he bit his lower lip before setting the package down. "i know." bokuto muttered under his breath.
"baby-"
"i think-"
they both said at the same time before airu allowed his boyfriend to speak up first. bokuto shook his head no, and told her to continue. whatever was on his mind just a second ago, was trying to be pushed away by none other than bokuto himself.
"can you get one of your guys to trace out who sent this?"
bokuto nodded his head and took out his phone. "of course." he started going through his contacts and scrolling until his thumb hovered above a single name. he quickly wasted no time and called the number.
it rang just a couple of time before someone spoke up from the other line. "yeah?" he said, sounding a little bit lazy- which is considered to be a little risky if you're talking to your boss like that.
"kenma, i need your help on something," bokuto said, averting his eyes back at the black rose inside the package.
"aah.." he groaned tiredly. "what is it?" kenma replied.
the latter sighed, not sure on how to explain. "let's meet up, the coffee shop, at 1pm."
bokuto could have sworn he heard kenma groaned for the second time. "but it's a saturday, kuroo and i are supposed to-" before he could finish, bokuto cut him off almost immediately. "bring your boyfriend then! please it's really important."
oh kenma would love to give another excuse just so he can get out of whatever this is, but he seriously might get fired, even if him and bokuto are really closed friends. "... fine."
