"ETHAN!" I yell from the kitchen to call my 16 year old son down(pic of what he looks like at the top) stairs and he comes down a few minutes later
"What" he says to me and I turn around to look at him "Honey why are you still in your pajamas we have guests coming over in a couple hours and you look like you haven't slept" I say a little stressed "I have not got changed yet and I have not slept because I was working on this new song once I'm done with it I'll sing it to you I really think you'll like it" he says excitedly I smile at him I always knew he would be just like his dad
I feel bad that I never told him who his dad really was I only said that he died when he was a baby and that's all he knows
A/N: if you're wondering Cameron and her broke up after he found out she was pregnant with Shawns baby
"Ok just go get dressed and come back down when your done I need you to help me with some stuff" I say and he walks back up to the stairs and I go back to preparing the food
It has been an hour and Ethan is not down yet it sure does take him a long time to get ready most of the food is done now I need to get ready

I get ready pretty fast and when I go down stairs I see Ethan on the couch watching TV
"Can you go to the store and get more drinks" I ask him he gets up grabs my keys and heads out the door
It's around 1:00 and the party starts in 30 mins I finish putting the food out on the table and wait people should be coming soon
The party has already started and people have arrived
"Yeah it's been a while wow glad you came" I say then turn around and walk away to the front door because I heard the doorbell ring but Ethan already got it
I walk over the door and stop mid way because I see someone who I never thought I'd see again. . . . .Shawn
"Hi thanks for coming" Ethan says and shakes his hand they look at each other straight in the eye for a few moments "Oh My God" Shawn says in shock I think he figured it out and then Ethan says "Oh sorry for not inviting you in my bad" then he opens the door wider for him to come in I walk over to some other guests trying to avoid Shawn
It's been about 30 minutes and if I say so myself I'm pretty good at avoiding someone just as I think that someone taps on my shoulder it's Shawn
"How are you" I say with a smile like nothing's wrong "Is he mine?" He straight up just asks me guilt spreads across my face "What are you talking about?" I ask him "The kid. Is he mine?" He asks "No" I say "Don't lie to me" he says "I'm not" I look down at my feet "Is he?" Shawn says "No he isn't" I lie again "Chloe" he says I wait a few moments thinking if I should tell him but I'm interrupted
"Mom I'm going to get more drinks and put them in the cooler" Ethan says to me "Ok" I say looking at him "Are you okay?" He says with a concerned look "Yeah" I say but he doesn't believe me "Ok" he says then looks at Shawn and walks away
"Chloe. Is he?" Shawn asks a little inpatient "Yes!" I kind of yell and everyone looks at me and Shawn pulls me into the kitchen and closes the doors "How could you not tell me? I had a son" Shawn asks really hurt "I didn't know how" I say "Why wait it took you" he pauses "How old is he?" He asks "16" his eyes went wide "16! It took you 16 years to finally tell me that I had a kid-wait a minute that night on the phone 16 years and 8 and a half months ago is when you found out isn't it?" He says
"Yes" I say "I asked you what's wrong and that I'd be there for you no matter what! And you still didn't tell me you wouldn't even tell me now when I just asked you" he says "I know and I'm sorry for not telling you I-" I was cut off by Ethan entering the kitchen with the drinks "Sorry for interrupting. . . .again" he says and looks at me weird then looks at Shawn and tilts his head "Who's this?" He asks referring to Shawn "Just an old friend go back out to the party" I say "But it's kind of boring so can I go upstairs and work on my music I really want to finish it today so I can sing it to you" he asks "Sure sweetie" then he walks out "He sings?" Shawn asks "Yeah and he's pretty good too, he sounds a little like you" I say
"I missed his whole child hood he grew up without a father what did you tell him about his father" "I said that he died when he was a baby" I said
"That's it?" He said shocked "Yeah I told him to drop it" I said "Oh, I still can't believe you didn't tell me Chloe I would've been there" he said I could see his eyes beginning to tear up I take a big risk and hug him he hugs back
Oh how I missed his hugs, his touch he hugs me tighter we stay like that for a few moments then he backs away and looks me in the eyes I knew he felt something "I know I'm sorry I was a scared teenager who didn't want to tell anyone she wanted to deal with it on her own, I only told my parents and Ashley oh and Cameron found out too" I say "So he broke up with you?" Shawn asks "Yes" I say and a grin appears on his face "What's the grin for?" I ask "Oh nothing" he says "Look I know what I did was wrong and I'm sorry" I say
"I forgive you but you need to tell Ethan that his father is alive" he says to me and I nod my head I go to the cooler getting a water and I sat there drinking it I feel Shawns eyes on me so I look at him
"What?" I say "Tell him!" Shawn shouts "Ok ok no need to shout" I say and we both walk out of the kitchen and up to his room I knock on his door I hear footsteps coming then the door is opened
"Hi Mom" Ethan says "Hi sweetie look I have something to tell you" I say "Ok what is it" he asks "Your father is alive....and he's right here" I say and move out of the way for Shawn to come in he has a shocked, hurt, and happy facial expression
"Your father is Shawn Mendes" I say
