Yang x Reader ~ Lost Dragon (Book One)

Chapter 4

It has been a couple of days since you raced the two sisters. Now they are putting everyone in the training grounds in order to put the teams together. All of you are now going into the launchers in order to start the training. You were in the launcher next to Yang and Ruby. This is definitely going to be fun. 

Professor Ozpin: Alright everyone good luck to all of you.

You looked around at all the other students. There was one particular boy who looked as if he didn't know what was going on. You believed his way was Jaune. You heard that he snuck his way into Beacon, but that was just a rumor some bullies started. You all were 10 next in line to get launched. You looked to your right and saw Yang smiling at you.

Yang: Good luck Red!

Before you could reply you were launched into the air. 

Y/N: Alright! Time to kick ass!

After being in the air for around 10 seconds, you started going downwards. You looked at the ground below you and saw many trees. You saw Ruby and you two were falling down at the same speed, side by side.

Ruby: Hey Y/N!

Y/N: Hey Ruby. Ready to land?

Ruby: You bet!

You two were around 40 ft away from the forest. You triggered your Cripson and placed your aura into your feet. That caused you to go faster. You shot out a chained blade at a tree and pulled yourself closer to it. You landed on a branch and pulled your blade back in. You looked in the sky to see what Ruby was doing. She was shooting at birds then she transformed her weapon into a scythe and she used it to get a grip on a branch. She jumped out of the tree onto the ground and looked up at me.

Y/N: Not bad Ruby! 

Ruby: Thanks!

You jumped from the tree and landed on your feet. You were about to say something else. But then you both heard a loud roar. You both knew what that meant so you both prepared yourselves. It didn't take long for four Beowolves to come in your direction. Two of them charged at Ruby and the other two charged at you. You dodged the first one and snuck up on it from behind. You converted your gauntlets and blades poked out from the sides. You charged at the Beowolf and sliced off its head in only one blow.

Then the second beowolf tried to grab you. But you converted the gauntlet on your right arm back into the way it was before and shot out a chained blade. You wrapped the chain around the Grimm's neck. You pulled the Grimm towards and sliced it in half. By the time you were done with the Grimm you and Ruby were separated. 

Y/N: Well that's depressing.

You turned off your cripson and made your way throughout the forest trying to find the place that Professor Ozpin assigned everyone to go to. You released both of your chained blades and started making your way through the trees. You greeted a Nevermore in the sky that decided to attack you.

Y/N: What the heck. Why not!

You pulled yourself to a tree. You then pulled yourself up and in a split second, you were in the air. You turned your Cripson back on so you could get it done quickly. You were about to attack the Nevermore, but then it was shot down by a lot of bullets. You looked to your right and saw Yang! You both landed in a tree. 

Yang: Hey Y/N!

Y/N: Oh! So you decided to call me by name? That's a first Yang.

Yang: Oh I guess I did. If you want me to I could call you by your actual name.

You thought about it for a second but you actually liked the name Red. It suited you.

Y/N: Nah. I like Red better.

You two continued to walk and talk about how being at beacon was. She then asked you a question that you didn't expect.

Yang: So what's the deal with your eyes? Does it have to do with your semblance?

Y/N: No actually. It has nothing to do with my semblance. It's actually something that runs through my clan.

Yang: What do they do?

Y/N: I don't just go around telling people about my powers Yang.

You sounded a bit annoyed but you weren't. It just simply wasn't realistic for people to just spill themselves. It's just arrogant.

Yang: I guess that makes sense. But it doesn't matter. I'll always be better than you.

Y/N: What?! Alright, bet! The first person to find an artifact is stronger!"

You had no intentions on losing to Yang. You might as have some fun before you found the artifact you wanted. The artifact that you needed was the one that would allow you to work by yourself for the rest of the school year. You didn't want people to get to involved in your objective.

Y/N:Alright! Go!

You and Yang went in your seperate ways. You were going to find that artifact!
