Indigo's breath was violent and heavy. He grumbled in pain, as the sun beamed down on him. The force of his sneakers hit hard agianst the ground.Luckily, Serine was covered by the extent of his arms, and remained untouched by the suns blistering rays.

She yelped, however,in response as Indigo's muscles tightened incasing her. He could feel the sun leaving a painful mark on him as he ran. He peered up to the sky, and saw the sun as it became so close to reaching its deadly peak. Indigo ran faster, pushing his legs with as much force as his body allowed.

They were a proximally,One-forth of a mile away from their destination, but he was still in doubt if they would make it in time. Indigo licked his lips, trying to moisten them as the sun dried them out, but because of the lack of moisture his tongue proved to provide inadequate relief. In result, he gave up the thought all together, and focused on making it home. As he began to see the tip of the entrance to the encampment, he felt a sharp pain in his back. Nine or so feet away, he collapsed to the dirt and sand below.

Delusional as to the event, his knees buckled and pulled him further into the earth; pressing his face into the hot sand.

Serine fell out of his arms, and began barking furiously. She jumped up slightly at the touch of the molting ground, and pulled at Indigos dark locks. Indigo shuttered, but made little movement. He shot his head up instinctively and eyed the door to the under ground passage way that would take them too safely. As much as he wanted to remove himself from the touch of hell, and pull him and serine out of the heat, he couldn't.

No matter his strength he remained in the soil, breathing every second of sharpness as the heat from the earth burnt him alive, and the power of the sun did the same. Serine barked and hollered for Indigo to get up and continue on, but he remained in the same position. Indigo saw as she moved to under a slight over pass in the cliff, shielding her self from the suns rays but continued to bark frantically. His vision became blurry as he started to slipp deep into blackness.

His cheeks grew moist, and cool as tears dripped down his face. He moved his tongue over to lick them clean, hoping to get a slight taste of water before his death. However, the water was immediately evaporated as the suns intensely grew ten fold. It was as if the heat was aiming to rid Indigo from the planet. It was if it wanted him to perish and sink into the sand, leaving Serine all alone. He yelped in pain as he began to feel the agony of his back being cooked alive.

The fumes filled his nose and caused him to gag in response. The smell was ...revolting, beyond what you could imagine. He felt as if he was preparing for a fest off his own body. What was the most distasting was that because of his lack of nutrients, his stomach rumbled. Unaware that is was reacting in response to that of him. Only then did his glands react, and did he feel the tang of moisture on his tongue. Disgusted with himself he shook his head ferociously glancing up for a mere moment.

He saw Serine yelping and barking. In an instant he used what strength he had left to lift his hand from the ground and motion for her to stay put, for if she moved a muscle, she would be incinerated.

Indigo tired his best to get to where she resided but failed miserably. Night was hours away, by then he would be burnt to crisp. As an ultimatum he flipped him self over onto his back ignoring the pain, and stared at the sun, beneath his goggles. He couldn't help but notice how beautiful it looked. Years had gone by since he was able to glance at the sky during the day, and he missed its amazing glimmer. It was stunningly gorgeous; even though he knew it would be the hand that delivered his death.

Indigo began to accept his demise and close his eyes in anticipation. Maybe,in a sense he would visit his brother again up in heaven, and be allowed to touch his sister's long locks. He gritted his teeth as the sun began to burn the foresideof his body. As he began to black out and night turned to day inside his mind, revoking his life from him, he felt the presence of another person engulf him with their shadow.

He was unable to distinguish if it was a male or female, all he was able to understand was that they were allowing him another chance to live on this rotting earth. Their cool finger tips dragged him through the sand, lifting him up a few seconds later. He began to slip deeper and deeper into darkness. Only able to mutter a single statement as he passed out:

"Get my dog..."

In response the person shifted Indy to his right side and said, "Done."

As Indigo rendered unconscious, thoughts swirled in his head. Yes, he was grateful to be saved, but did he want to be?

'That light is bright as hell', was all that crossed Indigos mind as he awaked from his nightmare.

While he had slept, he had reminisced about the happenings of years ago. The beginning of the world where he was birthed, and the start of the new violent one he lived in now.

He was in fact still living right?

Indigo blinked a few times, and began to focus on the light in his face. Beside it stood a tall, young boy around his age. He bounced a tooth pick up and down between his lips. His hair wad shaggy, with the color of blonde over powering it, and a smile played on his face. The boy eyed Indigo in a curious manner, as Indigo did the same. He twirled his head back and revolved it in a circle. Carefully he approached Indigo, then rocked his heels back and forth. Placing his hands on his hips he asked Indigo's name:

"What's your name?"

Indigo shook his head clearing his thoughts and said, "Indigo, Yours?"

"Yuki"

"No last name?"

"Well as the world is now, there's really no need for that much labeling is there?"

Indigo clicked his tongue and looked away from the boy; retuning his gaze when he shot a sharp whistle through the air.

"I've got one question for you, Yuki?" Indigo asked. "Why am I here looking at that of the inside of my concave. Instead of lying on the floor dying in the dirt?"

"You mean why did I save you?" Yuki said.

"Hmmm."

"Well that my friend is a question for another day..."

With that he walked out into the other room, leaving Indigo to speculate...

"What does he want with me?"
