Ellie's POV
I finally wake up, it's twelve o'clock but what the heck it's the first day of summer. It feels great to sleep in every day. When I decide to get ready for the day I grab my softball hoodie and a pair of yoga pants, then put my hair in a simple French braid and apply mascara. I decided to get out of the house today since I had nothing better to do.
"I'm going to the park." I yell to my mom
"Okay, be home by dinner."
********At the park*************
When I arrive at the park there are about five guys shooting basketball and I decide to go enjoy the view. I sat at the bench about twenty feet from the boys, one of which, caught my eye. His hair was a beautiful shade of brown and his eyes were crystal blue.
I had a rude awakening of my daydream when I was pelted in the head with a basketball
"Watch it!" I yell.
"Hey, sorry about that" the handsome boy says that I was daydreaming about.
I was speechless but I managed to get a little giggle out and my checks turned fifty shades of red.
"What's your name" he says with a big grin on his face.
"Oh um, I'm Ellie, how about you?"
"Why don't you come to my house and you can find out" he whispers to me.
I immediately agree and we get up and start walking to his house.
When we arrive at his house I am in awe, it is beautiful. We walk up to the porch and I say
"So, how about that name."
"Oh yeah, I'm Hayes" he said confidently.
He takes me inside his house and he is instantly embraced by a little girl.
" Hi Hayes! I missed you!" Says the little girl.
"I missed you too Skylynn, can you tell my friend Ellie Hi" Hayes pointed at me.
"Hello" she yells and runs and jumps into my arms. I give her a big hug and sit her down.
Hayes and I sit in his living room and start to get to know another.
"So how come I have never noticed you at school or around town" I say
"Well, I just moved to Virginia and I am being homeschooled." he replied.
"Okay so how old are you" I say hoping we are the same age
"13" he says.
I am overjoyed with happiness because there is actually a cute boy my age.
Hayes' POV
"Well how old are you" I say to her.
"13" she said smiling.
Wow she is so beautiful. I need to get to know her better. No, I need her.
"You wanna watch a movie" I say pulling out Grown Ups 2.
"YES" she screams jumping up and down. It's really adorable actually.
"I will go get some drinks in the refrigerator" she volunteers.
I sit down and she comes back with the drinks.
"One Sprite for you and one Sprite for me" she sings.
I tap on the spot next to me, motioning for her to sit next to me and she does. As the movie continues I slide closer to her until my arms are wrapped around her. it think she enjoys it because Ellie just looked at me and smiled.
Ellie's POV
Oh my Gosh! he has his arms around me. I couldn't think of anywhere else I would rather be. Then my phone lights up
Mommy👩: Ellie where the heck are you! it's already four and dinner is almost ready!
Me: I'm so sorry I forgot. I will be home in a bit.
Perfect timing, the movie just ended. I looked at Hayes and said
"I think it's about time for me to leave"
He gives me a pouty look and says
"Okay but I think I'm going to have to walk you home, I don't want you to get lost."
"You're the new one not me" I laugh and playfully punch his arm.
My house was about fifteen minutes from his. When we were three houses away I stopped him and said.
"We don't say anything to my parents about what happened. My dad is very over- protective about boys."
"I'm not scared" he said while picking me up.
We stared into another's eyes for, what felt like, forever and then he said
"You know Ellie, I've never met a girl like you, you're very special."
I blushed and he put me down. Then we walked the rest of the way to my house. Before we said our goodbyes, I snatched his phone from his hands and put my contact in, he did the same.
"See you tomorrow?" He asked
"Maybe" I replied and then walked inside. I hope he didn't think that was a jerk move.
"So how was the park today" my mom questiones
"Absolutely perfect" I say.
When I finish my dinner, I clean off my plate and head to my room. Then I change into my pajamas and take off my mascara. suddenly my phone lights up
Your Boy💕: Hey I wanted to know I had a great time with you.
Me: I had a great time too, P.S. I like your contact name
I am exhausted even thought it's only 9:30. I shut off my phone and drift off to sleep.
