Can this Last Forever?

Ellie's POV

"What the heck!" I hear a familiar scream.

I build enough strength to push this stranger off of me and he falls to the floor. I run into Hayes' arms crying. I have never been so embarrassed in my whole life. He hugs me back and then lets go of me, his fists are clenched I can see the fury in his eyes. He walks over to the guy and says

"Don't you ever do that to her again."

"Hey, Hayes your girls has some soft lips." the guy replies to Hayes.

Next thing you know the guy is on the floor and everyone is crowded around and the room is silent. The guy gets up and Hayes yells at him to get out of the house and he does as told.

Hayes' POV

When everyone is gone it's about 12a.m. and I'm still pissed at Trevor for doing that to Ellie and what he said to me. Good thing Ellie is spending the night, my parents won't be here tonight so it's just us and Nash. Now it's clean up time and I need to apologize to her for what happened and say

"Ellie I'm really sorry for what happened with Trevor, he's a jerk."

"Yeah I wasn't really expecting that either, but you came to my rescue." she says with a smile.

"I don't know what got into me, I mean we aren't even dating." I say nervously.

We are finally finished and we are both pooped so I go over to her and say

"Let's watch a movie, I mean I think you owe me one." I say with a smile on my face.

"Okay, but I pick the movie." she says pushing me out of the way giggling.

Ellie's POV

I run downstairs to the TV and open the movie drawer and pick out Insidious 2.
I'm not one for scary movies but I know Hayes will enjoy it. I popped the CD into the movie player and sit next to Hayes. I really like him, I hope he makes a move after what happened earlier. I mean that was huge for him to do that for me.

But does he like me? Am I really this special in his eyes? Out of all the girls in this town would he really pick me? I guess it's time to find out.

"Hayes, why did you do that for me?" I say to him.

"Well Ellie, there's something special about you, something I really like. I don't want to see you get hurt." he says.

Good thing the lights are off because my face is blood red. I'm staring straight into, what I can see of, his gorgeous eyes. The scariest creature pops up and screams and I freak and bury my head into Hayes' chest. He wraps his arms around me and gives me the greatest hug in the world. I look back into his eyes and he leans in. His lips meet mine and I feel like I'm on a roller coaster. Butterflies roar in my stomach. He kisses me so passionately, I hope this kiss never ends. He pulls away holding my cheek and says

"That's what you deserved tonight, not  Trevor." He says to me.

"Absolutely." I try to say without jumping out of my seat. 

Hayes' POV

That kiss was amazing, yes Hayes, you finally made your move! I think to myself.

Ellie snuggles up to me and I can't help to think how lucky I am. The movie is almost over and I can tell Ellie is getting tired, I start to play with her hair. It is so soft and as I continue, she looks up at me with heavy eyes and I kiss her forehead. She falls fast asleep and I grab the blanket on the couch without disrupting her sound sleep. I drape the blanket over her, she looks so cute while she sleeps. Then, I shut the television off and eventually fall asleep. Can this last forever?
