Ellie's POV
"Guess what?" I say to Hayes
"What!" he says dramatically
"My mom said I can come to the party" I say looking into his beautiful blue eyes.
"Great. We will drop you at your house to get ready and I will walk down to your house later to come get you" he replies.
"Sounds great." I say.
*******arrive at the house*******
"Well I will see ya later." I say to Hayes.
"Okay I will be here around seven." he says winking.
They drive off and I run inside. I see a note on the table with an envelope beside it. It reads
"Ellie, your dad and I have booked a adult only vacation with your aunt and uncle this summer. We left you $6,000 for the summer. Sorry we didn't tell you, it was short notice. We love you,
Mommy and Daddy."
Well it looks like I'm on my own this summer. Not really though, I have Hayes and all my friends. It's already 5:30?! Time to start getting ready. I hop in the shower and when I get out it's six. I quickly put a little bit foundation and my favorite mascara, then I dry and curl the ends so it will look nicer. Since it's a party I decide to wear something nice. Walking over to my closet I pick out my blue jean shorts and and sparkly cardigan with a white tank top under it. I'm finally ready and it's 6:45, perfect timing.
Hayes' POV
It's almost time for me to pick Ellie up and I'm looking good. I look at myself in the mirror, I have my navy Polo on with some kakis and my navy Vans to match. My hair looks nice and I almost forgot som cologne, I spray in my Axe and it's 6:50. Whoops! I sprint down the street and arrive at Ellie's house in five minutes. Before I ring the doorbell I do a hair flip and rid my shirt of wrinkles.
*Ding Dong*
She answered the door and looks as great as ever. I just can't control my feeling for her anymore. Tonight's the night I'm going to make a move.
"Shall we go my lady." I say bowing.
"Of course Mr. Grier" she says curtseying back.
"Let's go then." I reply.
We are now walking back down the street and the time seems perfect. We are walking side by side. Her hand hits mine and I intertwine ours together she didn't pull away either and she looks at me with her face beet red. I can feel my face getting warmer and we are finally at the house.
Ellie's POV
We walk inside and there are about 75 people inside. Half of them are football or lacrosse players like Hayes. They all are from North Carolina so I know no one. Hayes is still by my side and we are still holding hands.
"Hayes go enjoy some time with your friends, you aren't going to see them for a while." I say to him.
"Are you sure." he says with an anxious face.
"Positive. I can make more friends." i say pushing him towards the group of guys.
I walk over to the kitchen to get a Sprite when I was pinned up against the wall.
"Hey there pretty girl." the guy says smashing his face into mine. I try to push him off but he's too strong.
"What the heck!" I hear a familiar voice scream.
