Drama Queen - Green Day Fanfiction

City of the dead

Brooklyn pov:

"Bye mom see you later love you" i plugged in my ear phones and found space on the bus headed towards the prison known as school. I'm not popular, far from it but I like to keep to myself to avoid drama and being hurt.

I walked in my first class which was music, my favourite subject. We had to pick an instrument and play a song in front of the class, this sounds simple but when you have anxiety it seems like a real challenge.

Eventually it was my turn so I picked up the acoustic guitar and began to sing good riddance  (time of your life) by Green day. That song means so much to me but I don't understand why.

I was halfway through English when my name was announced over the speakers. I was then excused from my lesson to go see the principle, the whole way I was trying to think of things I could have done wrong.

When i entered I saw a tall police officer stood next to the principle.

" Are you Brooklyn way?" The officer asked, i couldn't speak so all I could do was nod.

"Mrs way was involved in a car accident late this morning and I'm sorry but she didn't make it, so we have contacted your real parents and you will be living with them in Oakland california." Wait what?

"What do you mean real parents?" The officer gave me a confused look.

"I would have thought you'd know by now, but yes your adopted your parents will meet you again Oakland airport tomorrow evening and a driver will take you to the airport tomorrow morning at 8" I gave a small thanks and was excused home.

I'm adopted. That was all that was going through my mind all evening.  I changed into some sweatpants and a hoodie and put on my green day vinyl and packed up all my essentials.

The rest of the night I was imaging what my real family are like and picturing how life is going to be from now on.

A/N ok I know this chapter fucking sucks but it will hopefully get alot better
