The Lost Souls

Has it come to where the emotions
I used to feel everyday
Has caused me to feel
Nothing at all?
Has it come to the point
That I have to force myself
To shed tears because
I long for the ability to feel again?

No, because the world
Has never failed to
Bring more heartbreak,
More loved ones lost,
And more sadness
Into the human soul before.

So
I will not allow myself
to become numb,
or to become lifeless.
I will find the passion in me,
and it will light a fire
of love,
anger,
and sadness.
And the fire
will last an eternity.

So, no. It has not and will never come to this.
