Above: Lucifer

After Lucifer had finished explaining what was to happen the next day, he made sure everyone understood. Josephiah was supposed to distract the guards with her…assets. Gadriel and Sabriel were supposed to work together to fight Michael and Cassiel which was an easy task for them, they were trained to fight hard. Lastly, Jessemiah was supposed to back up Lucifer and keep him from getting attacked from behind or killed by an angel.

Since Mikell was never found present, he didn’t get his assignment. He was going to warn them if he saw anything, but he didn’t like this. Lucifer sighed, slightly uneasy about this plan. “Everyone understand?” Lucifer asked. Everyone gave a curt nod. “Okay. You are dismissed. Go, gather your strength. You will need it.” With that, they took their leave.

Lucifer stayed back. Seeing this, Jessemiah turned back. He walked up to Lucifer and placed a hand on Lucifer’s shoulder. “Lucifer. We can win this. Do not doubt what we have planned since the day we were created.” Lucifer nodded. “I realize Jessemiah. It’s just Mikell. I am worried he will tell of our plan.”

“He will not, I will make sure of it Lucifer,” Jessemiah growled. “Good.” With that, Lucifer left Jessemiah amid his anger. Lucifer came out at the fountain. He sighed. Sitting on the edge of the fountain, he placed his hand in the water and began to boil it. Being an Angel of Fire, it would be easier for him to do this, He kept running his hand back and forth through the water, watching how the water fell through his fingers.

He smiled at the metaphor of what the following day was going to be like. “It will burn,” he whispered. Michael walked towards him. He smiled at Lucifer. “Good day Lucifer. Nice to see you admiring this beauty without the others.” Lucifer nodded. “Sometimes it is best to be around others. Being alone is sometimes a key to an open mind. That is never good.”

“That is true Lucifer. Good.” He gave a curt nod and a cursory glance towards the boiling water. “I must be on my way. Father doesn’t want us to forget our duties. He is planning to make this “Earth” now.” Lucifer was overcome with surprise. He covered it up and nodded. Michael continued on past the garden walls.

Lucifer jumped up and ran to the lake spot. He fell to his knees and screamed his heart out. He knew that no one would hear him… the lake was far from the hustle and bustle of the angels. Lucifer stopped screaming and gulped air. He sat back and sighed, now content. His anger was let out instead of pent up.

He sighed. “Why?” He wept. He felt new bonds, almost like that of when angels are being created, but at a lesser degree. Anger formed in his stomach. It grew and grew until it consumed him. He tried to push it away. He heard his Father call to every angel.

He went along and followed the others, immediately coming to show the masses of angels gathered around something. Lucifer was confused. He inched his way to the front. His Father was beaming at his creation. There, at the Father’s feet, lay a strange creature. It was medium in height, with brown hair and tan skin. It lay there in its naked glory. The Creator bent down and pulled a bone from the creature.

“I will name this man.” He then formed another creature, this time female. He looked down at his creation. There were bodies of water, masses of vegetation, and life. Lucifer watched as his Father looked at the man and his female and love lit his features. “This is man, made in my own image. You shall love them more than you love me, for they are a perfect people.”

Lucifer became angry. Him?! Love some creature more than God?! Rage consumed him. “Lucifer.” Lucifer faced his Creator. He had loved him more than any angel! What was God talking about. He stared at him in defiance. “Father. I cannot follow this rule.” The angels, with the exception of his team, gasped. One by one, Jessemiah, Gadriel, Sabriel, and Josephiah all made their way towards him.

“We cannot either, Father.” He looked hurt and shock. “Lucifer why? In the others I sense pride, but why you?” Lucifer began to weep. “Because, Lord. I cannot love anything more than you, and I cannot stand to stand on the side anymore.” The Father shook his head, slowly letting his wrath upon them. “Mikell, step forward.”

Mikell listened in confusion. He stood to the side of the five. “You all are cast from Heaven. You broke rules, went behind my back, and plotted against your own Lord. Lucifer, you shall be cast to the deepest pits of Hell. Jessemiah, Josephiah, Gadriel, and Sabriel, you all will be cast to Purgatory. You will stay there until you are free to roam the Earth. Mikell, you helped them, so I cast you to Earth. None of you shall enter Heaven unless permitted.”

Mikell had tears streaming down his face. The others stood bravely. Lucifer hung his head but still kept a confident pace. Suddenly, Lucifer was thrown into a cage, deep in Hell, and surrounded by darkness. He knew that now, he was like a serpent. He was to lead in the destiny that showed him as the creator of sin. His own world, deep below Heaven and Earth.

Josephiah, Jessemiah, Gadriel, and Sabriel were all made the first demons. They were cast to Purgatory, the place where one went to endure the punishment for the sins of their life, a part of Hell. They all were content, and soon became so prideful that they were the evilest.

And Mikell. Mikell was cast to Earth. Somewhere far from the place of Adam and Eve and the garden of Eden. He was to roam the Earth for centuries as a Fallen. He had to endure pain from losing Heaven, and from being cast out as an innocent. He never was angry, just saddened.
