I walk into the headquarters and see Diana and Wind talking to Uncle Ferrus.
"What did I miss?" I ask
"A lot. After Toxzon attacked the school, Water Elemental escaped." Diana says
"What do you mean? How did he escape?" Steel asks
"We don't know exactly. All we know is the power went out and when the backup generators came on, he was gone." Wind says
Diana slams her first down on the table next to her and falls to her knees.
"We had him, then we lost him." She says
Uncle Ferrus looks at me then her and kneels next to her, setting his hand on her back.
"It's okay. We'll get him back." He says
"Wait, I'm confused. Why is she so angry about this?" Steel asks
"Water Elemental is the biggest reason why my dad is dead." She says
"He survived the blast that killed your father, but he wasn't too weak and Water Elemental attacked the base. Carson and I tried to fight but he was too weak and Water Elemental hit him just right across the canyon and the impact killed him." Wind says
"Diana, I'm sorry. I'll make sure you get your revenge." I say
"Don't worry about it Max, it's just my past." She says and stands up

I look at Diana as she comes into the apartment and lays down, her head in my lap.
"So you lost your dad before you got to know him fully?" I ask
"Yeah. He died shortly after your dad's funeral." She says "At least that is what my mom said"
"So then you moved out here with the base." I say
"Exactly what happened." She says
"I wish we knew how fathers. I wonder how different it would be if we had them there." I start "If we would have stayed where we were at. If we would have known about our powers sooner. If we would have known about each other sooner. If we were to never be separated."
"I always wonder that Max. But we will never know I guess." She says, messing with the necklace she has
"When did you get that?" I ask
"My dad when I was born." She says and looks at the blue stone "Nobody will tell me where he got it though. Not even Wind."
"I wonder why that is." I say
She smiles and gets up as she hears a knock. She opens the door and lets her mom in, who is followed by a few soldiers.
"He's after you." She says
"Who is?" I ask and stand up
"Water Elemental." She says "He's after both of you two."
