Reconnected And Rejected

Chapter 3

I woke up at some alleyway, I tried to move but my head still hurts and both my hands and feet are cuffed. "Blondie's awake" A guy yelled and soon 2 other guys ran into my direction "Hey, sorry for knocking you out." A guy with a bandana said.

"Aghhh... where am I?" I told them "You're in our base. Im Ashton and this is Calum" he pointed to this asian guy "And the one who yelled 'Blondie's awake' was-" the guy with skunk hair came and said "Im Michael" He smiled.

"Where are my siblings, I must go to them! Please release me, I promised to my Mum that-" I began to cry "Hey hey hey, don't worry. They're still alive, we got separated cause of the horde of walkers that came our way" "And you didn't help them! My sister would die! My brothers! Westley and Amethyst are still young!" I cried.

"You should be thankful to us by saving you and sparing your life" Calum said "Please... I need to find my siblings, they can't be that far!" The tears in my eyes fell down to the ground and Ashton kneeled in front of me.

"You've been unconscious for 7 hours... but, I hope they're still in the area. Don't worry, we'll find them and that includes you too." He smiles and hugged me "I know how it feels to loose a sibling, and I'm gonna help you find them if you swear to help me find mine too" I just nodded and said thank you to him.

"Ashton! We don't know if he would kill us!" Calum said "Oh come on Calum... He lost his siblings." Ashton argued. Ashton untied me and helped me up "You alright?" And I just nodded.

Michael gave me some soup and ate it, Calum sat next to me and I just gave him a small smile. "Im sorry about earlier. It's just... Im too over-protective on my Mates." He gave me a small smile.

"Luke, you ready?" Ashton put his hands around me, "Yeah" I smiled. Calum gave me a crowbar for me to protect myself. "Australia's not yet completely over run by Zombies yet." Michael reported.

"What parts are completely over run by them?" I asked and Michael looked at me "Adelaide, Melbourne, and Brisbane." He reported again "Where are you getting all of this?" Calum asked "Radio! Duh! Does everyone know what radios are in 2014?"

We walked for 3 hours and its almost sundown "Maybe we should stop and continue this in morning. Its too dangerous" Ashton exclaimed "Or we should keep going. Sydney's not taken over yet" Calum said "Michael? What would be a great idea?" Ashton exclaimed.

"Best Idea would walk for another 2 miles? I mean we still have time" Michael and Ashton looked at me and I just smiled. We walked for another mile and saw a store with lights on "Look! Store's been lit up!" Michael said and Ashton shush him up.

We sneak into the store to see if someone's in. After 20 minutes of searching the small store, we conclude its empty. "Wanna sleep in this place or a motel nearby?" I said and they were shocked cause I've been quiet lately, "Probably a bad idea cause its lit up and stuff... maybe the motel will work."

We grabbed some canned food, water, and stuff. We put it in our packs and walk to the exit and we walked to the motel. "Get out! Sydney's fucked!" A woman ran in the opposite direction. "That's fun..." I said.

Everything's empty. Guess they're at their homes and locking their doors. We got into a room together and saw that there's just 1 bed. "Hate to say it but he have to stick together mates." Ashton suggested "I don't mind sleeping with you guys" I added and look down "I'll be in the couch, Ashton and Micheal will be in the bed, and we have to steal another foam from the other room for Luke" Calum said and I just nodded.

We opened the door revealing a woman inside with white silk dress, "Um... Excuse me?" Michael said and the girl looked at us, she was now infected and she has a big scar across her left cheek. "Now that's freaky" I said.

Ashton quickly killed the infected with his bat "Im sorry girl... I would've dated you if you weren't dead" He said with a disgusted tune. "Okay, now the bed." Michael grabbed the foam and Calum grabbed the pillows and the bedsheet.

We all settled in and ate some food, after that we talked about school and stuff. Michael went to sleep first then Ashton. "Aren't you gonna sleep Luke?" Calum said while I was sitting in the bed foam. "No... Im worried about my siblings." I let out a tear.

"Want me to sleep with you? If you'd like." He smiled "Yeah sure. That would be fine." He grabbed his pillow and rolled next to me. I laid down and facing Calum, he was inches away from me. "Hi" I smiled "Hello" he giggled.

I fell asleep with Calum's embrace, I felt safe in his arms.

The Next Day

I woke up with Calum still hugging me, honestly he's cute and sexy. Good thing we're in a post-apocalyptic event where people don't judge us anymore. I kissed the tip of his nose and he let out a small smile, I got up the bed and looked outside. I was shocked on what i saw so I woke up Ashton and Michael, "Guys... Zombies are everywhere..." Michael got up quickly.

"We need to run, fast." Michael said and I woke up Calum on how we have to go. We grabbed our bags and ran out the motel room, "Do we have an emergency exit?" Ashton said "Yeah, just follow me" I told him.

We got into a gate which Zombies aren't visible. I opened the gate and escaped "Should we come back there every night?" Calum said "Yeah sure. I know how to get here" I said and smiled.

Michael turned on his Radio.

Australia's almost falling and New Zealand is still 100% Alive. People are going to New Zealand and Airport's almost closing, so if you want to go to New Zealand, today's the last day.

Military is bombing Melbourne, Sydney, and-

"We need to go. Now." Michael said "BUT MY SIBLINGS! WE CAN'T LEAVE THEM! AMETHYST! WESTLEY! DESMOND!" I screamed, hoping they can hear me calling. Ashton grabbed me "Luke! Luke! Luke! I assure you, your siblings are out of Sydney. We have to go!" Ashton told me while I cry.

We ran for hours and got out of Sydney. I hear explosion, I quickly look at Calum and hugged him. "Shhhh... it's okay baby... they'll escape. I promise" He hugged me back while comforting me.
