Brooke's POV-
The next day I tried avoiding Liam even though I wouldn't consider it 'avoiding' because it seemed he was doing the exact same thing. The whole day our paths never crossed and it made me wonder why? I got his text yesterday talking about having the tutoring lesson today so I would have at least thought he would have wanted to talk to me about it, but I guess I thought wrong. I feel like slapping myself. One minute I want to avoid him and the next I want attention, like jeez Brooke just make up your mind already.
I guess it doesn't matter though since he doesn't like me back and just sees me as the nerd who can help him with his homework. I'm still really aggravated from that. Like who does he think he is to talk to me like that. I deserve so much better. Yeah, I thought, I really do. Heck who says I even need a guy to validate myself. Ha no one. I don't need no man, I'm fine being the perfectly independent teen that I am.
Wow.
I can't believe this is what's going on in my head. I mean I sound like some all about women's rights feminist who's totally against guys. Even so, you better believe that I walked those halls like I owned the place, confidence flowing from myself. That little motivation speech really did wonders to me. I should do that more often.
Right as I was thinking this, someone happened to bump into me. You know this seems to be a recurring pattern in my life, this seriously happens too often. I looked up to see some very striking green eyes staring back. I backed up a little a bit and got a better view of this strange guy. Other than the prominent green eyes, he had brown, mocha hair with a tall build and don't forget about the dimples he just happens to be sporting. Overall he was a gorgeous human being that was know looking at me funny. Probably because I was staring for too long, oops.
"Uh, sorry I wasn't looking where I was going"
"No problem, happens all the time."
"Well my names Brooke and I'm still really sorry. Have I seen you around before..." I paused to let him fill in his name.
"Luke, Luke Reilly. And no, today's actually my first day here."
What a coincidence it's his first day only a little over a month after Liam's. Guess Vegas it just the place to be.
