Strangers Waiting, Up and Down the boulevard
(1:00)"The rules are simple. I'm sure even in Texas they play 20 questions. No repeat questions and you have to answer. No lies!" She scolded quickly. "You ask first Ranger Rick." She said with a smirk. He made a funny face as he seemed to think for a moment.
"Full name?" He asked with a smile. She rolled her eyes lightly.
"You're so basic, Maya Penelope Hart." She said with an innocent smile plastered on her face.
"Penelope. I love it." He said as he laughed a bit.
"My turn. How old are you? You look like my age but if your like 20 I'd be a bit creeped out." Maya said as she laughed at her own joke.
"I am actually 18. I was held back a year, so I'll be 19 soon." Lucas said with a bit of a shrug.
"Oh, bad boy?" Maya said with a smirk.
"No just stupid." Lucas said as he laughed. Maya did as well, almost afraid to not.
"Favorite color?" Lucas asked quickly.
"Hm, red." She replied simply. He nodded with the response.
"Favorite movie?" Maya sputtered out quickly.
"I can't pick one. I like too many. I'm a movie conisoar." He said with a bright smile, and his green eyes lighting up in a joking manner. Which made Maya's heart beat a little faster.
"What do your parents do?" Lucas asked with an awkward smile. Maya nodded at the question and bit her lip. Lucas immediately regretted it, it was clearly not a question she wanted to hear.
"Um. My mom is an actress slash waitress." Maya muttered out half heartedly. Lucas sighed but ignored it completely.
"How many girls have you kissed?" Maya asked with her eyebrows raised up in question.
"Wow really?" He said as he leaned back. Maya only smirked in return. He scoffed lightly and rolled his eyes.
"Not many." He responded.
"I need a numerical value Huckleberry." Maya said as she began to laugh already. He coughed and in between he said a number, trying to cover up the amount.
"Hm what was that I didn't hear you." She said as she smiled.
"15. I've kissed 15 girls. Most were dares though!" He defended quickly as Maya doubled over in laughter.
"Don't look so upset Ranger Rick. I'm a smart girl. Cute boys like you don't get by without a little something." She joked with a bit of a wink.
"How many boys have you kissed them?" He asked quickly,
"Nope no, can't ask. No repeat questions Bucky Mcboing Boing." She said as she laughed a bit more, he didn't want to hear the amount she kissed. And she didn't need a "Dare" to do it.
"Who was your first kiss and when then Penelope." He said with a smirk that was cute enough to kill. She rolled her eyes.
"I was 13 and it was a guy friend of mine." She said as she picked at her nails.
"I need a name." He sing songed with a smile. She coughed to cover the name. He gestured towards his ear with a sarcastic look painted on his face.
"Farkle." She blurted quickly.
"What did you just call me?" He asked with a look of disbelief.
"His name was Farkle." She corrected as she shoved him in the shoulder. He laughed.
"What kind of name is that?" He scoffed.
"Are you using one of your questions on that?" She asked with her lips perched in a smile. One he wished he could desperately kiss off of her.
"No." He corrected quickly.
"My turn. Best friends name?" She asked with a smile, she was gonna play easy with him, she wanted to make this last.
"Zay. Any siblings?" He brushed past Zay quickly. However, Maya decided not to push. She didn't want him to leave.
"Nope. Favorite food?" She shot back quickly. He thought for a moment. His green eyes glinting in a fun way that insisted he wanted to play too.
"Pancakes. A short stack of pancakes." He said with a wink.
"You're such a flirt." She scoffed with a laugh. He lifted her arm up and placed a kiss on her hand.
"Best damn pancakes I've had." He said with a heavy laugh as she blushed deeply.
"Would you rather know when or how your going to die?" He asked quickly. Deflecting from what had occurred. Maya's. brain raked over the last few seconds, her face far too red.
"Everyone asks that. But how. I would never wanna know when." She said quickly, he nodded his head along as if to say I agree.
"Fair enough." His hand quickly followed a path from her arm to her neck to her hair, leaving a trail of goosebumps behind. He was only touching her with his fingertips but it was like catching lightning in his bare hands as he rolled a lock in his fingers.
"What are you doing?" She asked with a hesitant smile, one she wasn't used to having.
"Are you counting that as one of your questions?" Lucas retaliated quickly, his hand tucking the piece behind her ear.
"I guess not." Maya said with a laugh as the two of them watched each other. "What kind of sports ball do you play?"
"Sports ball?" Lucas asked as he laughed so hard the few passengers actually side eyed him. Which made Maya push a hand to her mouth to hide her laugh.
"I play baseball, football, and basketball. But I have dabbled In some other sports. Some just say I'm a natural athlete." He said as he flexed his arms. Maya placed her hand on her forehead and closed her eyes, making a deep sigh.
"Oh Huckleberry, you'll make me swoon." He rolled hid eyes at her sarcasm but smiled when she peeked one eye open just to make sure he was smiling,
"Okay birthday?" Lucas quickly fired at her move she had regained her composure.
"January the 16th." She responded with," Off the record when's yours?" She asked as she ran her hand over his.
"June the 21st." He said as the breath caught in his throat from the delicate touch.
"Continuing on, why did you all leave Texas?" She asked with innocent eyes.***
