Chapter Four

I handed the taxi-man the money. And watched the taxi drive away in a cloud of black smoke. And although the taxi man wasn't my friend I felt alone after he left. I felt like he had gone and taken my courage  with him. I was second guessing myself now. But then a image of my mums stern face as she screamed at me for being late  and the sound of my dads loud booming laughter passed through my mind. I turned  letting the thought of running slip out of my mind. I'm going to do this there are no second chances. I turned and walked round the corner to where house 1 was supposed to be ''Holy Shit'' I breathed my eyes wide this place was a fucking PALACE. I turned bumping into what felt like a brick wall. ''Ouch,'' I said glancing upwards. Good lord I had just found the worlds first ever real life giant. The giant didn't look very happy about me bumping into him. I backed up a bit ''Well you're big, not fat big, but like muscly big, like a guy on steroids but 10 times bigger, not that I think your on steroids its just...'' I let my voice fade into the background I think now would be a good time to run, I turned on my heel but before I could even take a step my arm was caught by giant man.

''What the hell, let me go!'' I screamed but giant paid no attention to my feeble attempts at escape and started dragging me towards the palace. ''HELP,HELP, I'M BEING CAPTURED BY A GIANT!!!'' I screamed hoping with all my heart that someone would hear. Maybe it would be Mr .business suit. Oh, Mr business suit my eyes started to glaze over as I imagined him coming to my rescue and beating giant to a pulp before putting me in his sweet embrace and leaning down to - no snap out of it I thought shaking my head- focus Jocelyn focus. The giant had reached the gates of the palace and they opened for him almost automatically. I gazed around me ''wow...'' I said as we passed throw a front garden that seemed more like a park. The giant finally reached the door after what felt like a century. He opened it and tossed me in before closing the door behind me.

I turned about to bang on the door but then a voice stopped me ''Honey?'' said a quite musical voice. ''Mum!'' I screamed wrapping my arms around her but she didn't hug me back instead she pushed me off her eyes full of tears. She shoved me ''Leave.''  she said, ''but mum'' I said walking towards her she pushed me back ''Leave NOW, go Jocelyn PLEASE!'' she screamed she looked so sad and so scared. ''So you've finally decided to grace us all with your company have you?'' said a male voice I let my eyes wander from my mums face and looked at the man descending the wide marble staircase.The man was the guy in the business suit. ''I'm Mr Thomas, and you young lady owe me a favour.''

Why is it that all good looking guys are either evil ,taken,or gay?!
