''What kind of favour?'' I asked my eyes narrowing, taking a step back as the man neared. My mum was in the corner, tears streaming down her face. I kept retreating from the man until finally my back hit the wall, the man smirked ,obviously enjoying watching me cower in fear. He placed his hand on the wall near my face, leaning in so close that I could feel his breath . ''Why don't you come to my office and find out'' he whispered using his free hand to twirl a strand of my hair a shiver of pure disgust ran through me . I pushed him back ''Fine , freak, but whatever it is I'll only do it if you let my parents - both of them- go.'' ''Sure thing my princess just follow me.'' he said, not even waiting for an answer before turning around and climbing up the stairs.
''Asshole'' I muttered under my breath running to keep up with long legged pace. I was climbing up the stairs when I looked down and saw my mum gazing up at me ''I'm s-so s-s-sorry honey'' she said sinking down to the ground and letting her sadness get the best of her. Those few words erased whatever confidence I had and my I walked changed to mirror this new feeling of hopelessness. I no longer tried to keep up with him and my head which I usually held high, was hanging low. Mr Thomas led me through many hallways until finally we reached a large set of double doors with the plaque SECRETARY on them in big bold letters.
He pushed the doors wide open and for a second I couldn't help be reminded of Alice in Wonderland. Is this how she felt when the world as she new it turned upside down? Mr Thomas was already seated behind his desk ,and may I just say that he was even hotter behind a desk , and that did not help my resolution to be as angry at him for as long as possible . "You're probably wondering what you have to do in order for us to set your parents free" he said , "no shit,genius " I said my voice dripping with annoyance and frustration.
"Well it's my pleasure to inform you that your are the soon to be wife of my master, the first vampire to ever walk the earth."
What had I gotten myself into?!
