Loosing It

My eyes slowly open as I sit up groggy my head hurting as I stand moving to the bathroom once again grabbing a bottle of painkillers. Another strange dream.

I place my hand over my left I staring in the mirror, noticing the yellowish tinge of my once green eyes. I jump a little hitting my head one the shelf behind me. I glance at my wristwatch checking the time I slept through yesterday and today. The clock blinks at me, 2:00 PM. I sigh turning around grabbing a pair of jogging pants and another sweater changing quickly and grabbing my bag.

"Ah, Erin you're awake" my mother calls out and as I open the fridge. "I couldn't wake you yesterday for supper, but the leftovers are in the fridge" She comments and I nod searching for a piece of chicken before moving to the door grabbing my shoes getting ready to head out.

"I'm going shopping do you want anything?" I ask as she walks into the entrance area.

"Your eyes are so bright today" she remarks staring into them as if captured by their new hue.

"Yeah I know, anyway do you have anything you want me to pick up?" I ask and she shakes her head no.

"Just have a good time, you are on summer break" she says obviously worried over my health.

"Okay thanks...mom" I say slipping out the door and into the world outside. The eyes waiting for me following me wherever I go. I stop giving them a quick glance trying to shoo them away. I catch the bus this time not having Kyle with me.

I am on my own today...with these weird eye things following me.

"J--jasper~" they lovingly call out as if knowing I can see them fully. "Jasper--r-return-to w--work?" the voice struggles as I punch the seat beside me. My eyes widening. Jasper? I'm...J-Jasper?

I glare at them, watching as they close up frightened by my reaction. I am not Jasper. I am Erin.

"No" I say before noticing people giving me concerned looks.

I sigh before looking away peeved with my circumstances. Slowly they all open up moving closer tiny hands grabbing hold of the fabric of my clothing.

"L--lord Hazarmaveth c--c-oming" they say repeating it a few times as if trying to hold me down and keep me where I am. I pull away falling out of my seat. I can hear people start to whisper around me, all of them taking note on my weird behavior now "L--lord Hazarmaveth" they continue as a pair of hands pulls me up.

"Jasper you okay?" My blood runs cold at the sound of his voice I pull away from his grasp grabbing onto the post to catch my balance. I grimace seeing his face again.

"Just who are you?" I ask peeved by his presence. What will he do this time. Will he remove my tongue? My heart? Maybe even my brain...

"The people I know call me Maveth, so you might as well call me that as well" he answers taking my hand and leading me to my seat again.

"I was hoping you'd rest today" he says his hand moving up to my cheeks, and then to my eyes. I squint as he brushes his finger tips over my eyelids.

"Stop that" I yelp. He pulls away a small smirk on his face now.

"I won't do anything more right now" He pulls the lever down for the next stop. "But since your active right after operation why don't I accompany you?" he asks his smirk  when my expression becomes that of detest.

"Why do you insist on pestering me!?" I shout as he pushes his finger to his lips hushing once more as he always does. 'You just can't catch a break can you?' My inner voice asks as I grip my head the pain resurfacing once more. My hands grip my head not caring what the onlookers think. Slowly blurred numbers appear over everyone's heads as I begin to get quezy.
