Chapter-49

Arjun's Pov

"Priya"I tapped her cheek very carefully,she collapsed on the floor.

I am really worried about her I don't know what just happened but I somehow feel Prajwal is responsible for everything.

I sighed and looked around before I could get up Prajwal handed me a glass of water.I didn't move my hand but seeing Priya twitching in my arms I took it quickly and sprinkled few drops of water on her face.

Thankfully,Priya opened her eyes very slowly and looked at me with a pale face.

"Are you okay?"I asked her quickly smiling at her controlling my anger and my tears at a time.

"Yes!"She nodded a bit and smiled at me for a second.

"Prajwal"She stood up and looked at me.I followed her suite and peeped through the window and I saw him walking towards his car.

"He left"I spoke a bit curtly.

"Did you slap him?Did you?"Priya almost terrified at the thought.

"Yes,If you didn't stopped me I would have shown him what hell is?"I muttered myself and looked at Priya.

"You slapped him!"She heaved a sign and said moving towards the couch.

"Couch!?Why couch?!Let us get inside,you need to rest,you look so pale"I said in a worried tone.

"I need to talk"She spoke a bit seriously which made me worried for sure.

"What?But...."I trailed off soon she threw a dangerous glance at me.

"I said I need to talk"She spoke very determinately.

"What?"I gulped and looked at her with wide open eyes.

"I was attacked few eve teasers last night"She lowered her head for a while twirling her finger with her sacrf.

"What?!"I almost screamed.

"Let me complete,Please!"She warned me gesturing her hand at me.

"Okay"I mumbled and sat there tapping my leg impatiently.

"I wanted to surprise you,Hence I messaged you that I will be late to function.I talked with restaurant members to arrange a candle light dinner for that night.They did it informed me that everything is ready for a beautiful date.I from there went to floral shop and bought flowers for newly engaged couple.I was about to come to function but ......"She just stopped and looked at me wiping her tears.I stood up from couch and went to her.I sat beside her and patted her shoulder taking her palm into my hand.I kissed it for a second and hugged her from side.I placed my face in the crook of her neck and kept on nuzzling my nose.

"I don't need any explanation. I don't want to listen anthing.If you are not happy with it don't pressurise yourself.Please"I said mumbling against her neck.

She didn't say anything didn't protest me even but she smiled a bit,A lone rolled over her cheek which met my lip.I lifted my head up and took her face into my hands.

"Are you okay?Don't talk about it anymore.I can see it hurts you a lot"I placked a peck on her cheek and wiped her tears away.

"I don't know what might have happened when Prajwal hasn't arrived in time.Probably they might have ra...."She closed her hands with her palms and crying profusely.

Her words truly shocked me.I realised my mistake but its too late.My heart stopped for a second what did say?I felt useless for a while,I couldn't take care of her.I cursed myself and lowered my head out of guilt.

"Few guys were following me all the way from shop.I tried my best to divert them by opting different short cuts.By they crossed my car and stopped in the middle of the road.They followed me for half an hour or more.Prajwal called me at the exact time they tried to abduct me.I protested them but I failed badly.Prajwal somehow chased me and protected me in time.I don't know what might have happened to me if prajwal hasn't come in time.I struggled for more half an hour up to to hour to divert those rogues.They took another half an hour to take me to some guest house.Luckly it is very near to out guesthouse.It took a while for me to digest the truth.I got injured here and there while protest.I got two stiches here."She pointed at her left leg and tears pooled up in my eyes. I blinked my eyes and wiped my tears as my teary eyes are not allowing to glance at my girl clearly.

"I am sorry"I dragged her on to my lap and kissed her softly.She didn't respond for a while.I withdrew myself and looked at her,her eyes she is scared to hell.I want to break those bones.I am sure I will do it for her.But somewhere I felt bad for Prajwal,he truly deserves a sorry,in deed I need to thank him for saving Priya.I felt weird all of a sudden.I should go back to home not if today atleast tomorrow. He will be there at home and the thought itself killing me.

I sighed and hugged her tightly.She needs me now,I will think about rest latet,I said to myself and placed a peck on her lips for a second.I lifted her in my arms and snuggled her on bed very softly.She slept on my lap,she is sobbing all the time.I feared to leave her alone.I ordered food on phone and fed her beside her strong protest. I atlast suceeded in feeding her some morsels of food and felt relived as she felt asleep in my arms.

I made her slept beside me in my arms and closed my arms trying to sleep for a while.I found her mobile on the near by table.It got scratches all over and its screen is completely damaged.Suddenly it started rattling in my hand I chocked as I saw Prajwal's number on screen.

Should I pick the call?or should I ignore it?I gulped my saliva because of the guilt piled up in my nerves.I mustered all my courage and answered the call.
