A New Life In A New Year (sequal to A FAIRY TAIL CHRISTMAS)

Chapter 14

March 21st 

Erza's pov 

today is my baby scan where i see the baby intead of a blob. me and jellal are taking the kids since the others are busy. as  i get ready jellal and the others are waiting downstairs for me. i put my pusrse, phone and keys in my bag and walk down the stairs. the kids were exited and jellal was scared as i was aswell. 

'you ready' he said and i nodded and smiled. we all walked out the door and went into the door and drove to the hospital.

when we got to the hospital and i could tell Jellal was nervous but i just giggled and held his hand. 'it's alright' i said and he smiled at me. 

'where are we going?' elliot asked and we carried on walking down the halls 

'we're going to where erza will have her baby scan' janet replied and me and jellal laughed holding hands. we went to the room and straight away the kids go to the toys and books. we waited there for about an hour. 

'what time is it?' jellal asked concerened and i looked at my watch. they were delayed. 

'dunno, we should be there ten minutes ago' i said and jellal drunk his bottle of water. 

'dad, can i have some water please' elliot sulked and jellal looked at him confused. 

'how have you drunk all that water' 

'i forgot it' jellal laughed and gave him the bottle and relaxed back on the chair. he put his arm around me making me rest my head on his shoulder' 

'you nervous' he asked and i hummed. 

'a little' i replied and he kissed my head and smiled. 

'it will be okay' he said and we both smiled. 

'erza scarlet' a nurse said and we both got up and were ready to go in the dark room again. 'sorry for the delay' she said and we just smiled. 

'kids be good we won't be long okay, stay there' jellal said and they waved and we walked in the room. i sat on the chair and i was nervous again. jellal held my hand and watched the screen. the woman put the gel on my stomach and the picture arrived on the screen, the nurse was searching for the baby. 

'there you are' the nurse said making me and jellal smile. 

'its not a blob anymore' i said making them laugh. jellal looked at it as if he knew what the gender was already and smiled. 'you look like you know what it is' i smiled and he shrugged his shoulders. 

'what do you think it is?' the nurse asked jellal and he laughed and put his arm around his neck and smiled. 

'i think it's a boy' he said and i smiled i hope it's a boy, i don't know why but when i was younger i said i wanted a boy. i mean if its a girl i don't mind, i'll love him or her the same way. 

'do you want to know what the gender is?' the nurse said and jellal looked at me and i shrugged my shoulders. 

'um....yes' i said and the nurse chuckled. 

'it is a boy' i started crying because my dream came true to have a boy first and jellal looked so impressed and happy. 'okay are you buying photos, a selection of eight is five jewel' she explained and we nodded wanting to buy eight. she printed them off and handed them to jellal. 

'thank you' he said making me smile. i got up off the chair and sorted myself out. 'your next scan will be in two months time on the 21st the nurse said and we nodded and smiled. 'have a great day' she added. 

'bye, thank you' me and jellal said in unison. and we met with the kids in the waiting room. well once we find out where they have gone............

Jellals pov 

where the hell are they?, i told them to wait here. we see a couple waiting and i walk over to them. 'hey have you seen two blue haired kids here' i asked and they nodded. 

'yes, two beautiful children, they were playing and reading over there, then the little girl took the little boy to the bathroom' the woman explained and i sighed with relief. 

'okay thank you' i said and we sat down waiting for them as the couple went in to check their scan. when two minutes were over Janet and elliot come out of the toilet and they run through the halls to hug me. 'you guys scared me' i said and they giggled and then hugged erza. 

'did you see the baby' janet asked and we nodded. 

'come here, look' i said as i got the pictures out and the kids looked confused so i traced the baby out with my finger and they smiled. 'you guys were like that when you were in your mums tummy' i added and they giggled. 

'is it a girl or a boy?' elliot asked and me and erza looked at each other. 

'what do you want for a new sibling?' erza asked and they looked at each other and whispered in their ears. i don't get why they do this, must be a sibling thing they just have. 

'A brother!' They cheered and me and erza chuckled. 

'do you know what' erza said and they went closer to her. 'you are having a brother' she said and they cheered making me and erza laugh i have never seen my kids so happy in my life.

we drove back home and the kids were sleeping so i picked them up and put them in their bed. erza was feeling tired aswell so she went to bed. but i had to go somewhere. as erza got in the bed i walked towards her. 'i'm just going out somewhere' i said and she smiled. 

'where?' 

'just getting dinner and other stuff' i said and she just chuckled 

'okay' then she fell asleep and i quietly walked downstairs and back in my car to start driving.

i finished shopping for dinner and decided to drive to a graveyard because i haven't spoken to my wife in ages. i walk across the fields and too a quiet garden and place flowers on the grave and i smiled. 'hey ella' i said hoping she can hear me. 

'i just wanted to let you know that the kids are okay, and happy. they umm, their gonna have a younger brother just to let you know.  Erza is so lovely to them, i told her so much about you, not bad stories i promise, she says you sound like a lovely woman and you were. you would never believe i lost my job which is scaring me because i have to raise another kid and money is getting tight but Levy who is one of erza's friends aka gajeels partner gave me a job at the bookstore you and janet went to just in case i find another job which isn't going well but one day i'll have one. ella, i hope you don't hate me for this even though you told me to make a new life but i hate how i'm leaving you behind. i'll speak to you soon' i said and touched the grave stone to mark ive said goodbye. i walked back to the car and drove back home to erza and the kids, because they are probrably wondering where i am.

i was meant to publish this last night but i was tired and bored because my auntie made me clean up a school which took ages. so i posted it today in free study at school.
