I plug in my headphones and accept the call. "Heyo Ethan!" I said leaning back in my desk chair. "You still at the office?" He asked. "Yeah. Mark's recording and I'm the only one here besides him." "Why's that?" "Everyone went out for dinner." Ethan nods his head and walks around his kitchen.

"So what's on the menu today my good man?" I ask as he opens the fridge barely leaving him visible on the camera. "I was thinking some spaghetti since me or my mother have yet to go shopping." "Sounds good."

He reaches above the camera where a shelf is letting his shirt rise ever so slightly. For a tiny person he has a well built body. Then again he does gymnastics. "So what happened with Mark this morning if you don't mind me asking. Did he bring up why he was late yesterday?" Ethan asked, concern filling his voice. "He didn't bring it up at all. He wasn't even home this morning when I woke up. He was already at the office." "Did he ever come home?"  "Yeah. His clothes were thrown on the floor of the room."

"I'm sorry Amy." He said sympathetic as bubbling water echoed in the background. "It's fine. It's not your fault I just wish I knew what he was doing." "What who was doing? Who are you talking to?" It was Mark. I look up at him and gesture to give me a second. "Hey Mark's done recording so I'll text you later?" I said. "Okay I need to finish dinner anyway. Bye Peebs."  "Bye Blue Boy." I end the call and remove the ear buds from my ears.

I place my phone in the desk before standing up to talk to Mark. "Who was that?" He asked. "A friend." I reply simply. "What friend?" His voice had a slight tone of anger. "Ethan. He's my friend I've had for three years now." I reply trying to ignore his clearly passed off nature. "Why are you talking to him?" "Cause he's my friend and I'm pretty for sure that's what you do with friends."

"Whatever. Could you stay the night at Kathryn's?" He asked. I gave him a confused look. "Why?" I asked. "I have some stuff to do at home for the stream and I'm going to be pretty noisy." His tone went to expressionless along with his face. "I guess." He nods heading back into his office.

I grab my stuff and call Kathryn to have her pick me up. "Thanks again. I'll have you take me back early in the morning so I can change." I said. "No problem. I love having you over." I smile at Kathyrn as we continue to chat on the way to her house.

"Just how you left it." She said opening the door to the guest room. "Thanks again." "No problem. Hey are you hungry? You never left the office for lunch or dinner?" Kathyrn asked. "No I'm fine. Thanks for asking."

"Okay well I'm going to head to sleep early. You can sleep whenever just don't be too loud. My new neighbors have two babies." I nod my head. "Note taken." She shuts the bedroom door and heads to her own room.

I lay down on the bed grabbing my phone. I scroll through some social media before Ethan texted me.
