Let Me Out

We get back onto the road.
"Should we still go to the penthouse?"
"Is the penthouse even real?"
Murdoc starts walking towards the penthouse with his thumb up.
"You're hitchhiking?"
"DO YOU HAVE A BETTER IDEA!?"
"No."
"OKAY THEN!"
We all follow him.

After a while, a van stops. A guy comes out of the back.
"Thank you."
The guy pushes us in.
"Ow! WATCH IT!"
"They call me Pusha T."
"Good to know!"
The guy gets in and closes the door. The woman drives looks back at us.
"Are you Gorillaz? The band?"
"Uh, yeah."
"What are you doing out here!?
"It's a long story."
"I've got time. Oh, and call me Mama Mavis."
"Okay, Mama Mavis."

SOME TIME LATER....

"And then you picked us up."
"Wow. That sounds awful."
"It was."
The van stops. I look out the window and see that we are in an ally.
"Where are we?"
I hear a punch.
"WHAT THE HELL!?"
Another punch.
"WHAT'S HAPPENING!?"
A third punch.
"OH GOD!"
I got punched and knocked out.

I wake up and the four of us are in a big cage with a single light over it. The others are knocked out with black eyes. Del is there.
"What the--"
"Don't look at me. I know less than you do."
I see a person walk towards the cage.
"HEY! YOU! LET ME OUT! LET US OUT!"
He comes closer.
"Why would I do that?"
"Uh, well, to be honest with you, I haven't a clue."
He comes into the light. It's a man in a leather plague doctor type of suit.
"Boogieman?"
"You better believe it."
"I never thought I'd actually see you again after Plastic Beach. In fact, I thought you were dead until 573 told me otherwise."
"Well, here I am."
Murdoc wakes up.
"Boogieman? Ah, shit."
"Murdoc! Lovely to see you! And by lovely, I mean painful."
"Pleasure's all mine."
"I'm sure it is."
Russ wakes up.
"Ah, shit, man."
"Russ, I'm going to be honest here, I know almost nothing about you."
"Most people don't and I like it that way."
Noodle wakes up. She checks her pockets.
"Where are my weapons!?"
"Do you think I'm stupid? I took them."
"Dammit."
Boogieman goes over to a switch on the wall.
"Now that you're all awake, it's time for the main event."
He turns a light on next to us. 573 is in an electric chair, gagged.
"This is 573-Y, the rogue clone that saved you."
He turns another light on. There's another 573 with a mini gun.
"This is 573-Z, the obedient clone that will surpass 573-Y and do what he was made to do."
"What does this have to do with us?"
"He was made to kill you four. Also, you get to decide how 573-Y dies: 573-Z slowly kills him or the electric chair? You have 30 seconds. If you answer, he dies in the way you choose. If not, there will be a shock in your cage that won't kill you, but may do permanent damage. Go."
"WHAT KIND OF SICK GAME IS THIS!?"
"28...."
We huddle together.
"What do we do?"
"I don't know."
Murdoc looks up and down.
"He gets electric chair. We both die either way, so save yourselves for longer."
"But we'd have to watch him die."
"The problem being...."
Noodle butts in.
"We should get shocked. It's an honorable way to go."
Russ speaks up.
"I don't wanna get shocked! Just have him get electrocuted!"
Boogieman knocks on the cage.
"10 seconds!"
"Okay! We have an answer!"
"Lovely. What is it?"
"We want 573-Y to get electrocuted."
"Perfect."
573-Y is yelling, but it's muffled.
He pulls the switch.
I hear it turn on. The muffled screams of human pain, it's almost soothing. Almost.
It's a horrible thing to say, but it's true.
I can see him twitching out uncontrollably. His fingers curling up into a fist, his body shaking in pain.
He closes his eyes slowly as he passes on to a better place.
I begin to cry. I see Noodle crying as well. Russ shed a tear or two. Murdoc didn't cry, but it's obvious he was uneasy.
Noodle runs up to Boogieman. She bangs on the cage.
"YOU MONSTER! YOU'RE A MONSTER!"
"Im not a monster. I'm the Boogieman. Change is coming, and it's going to hit you all like a ton of bricks."
The bottom of the cage begins to open. We all fall in and land in chairs.
Our hands and feet get locked in.
We're in a doctors office.
