Chapter One

This summer has been off to a great start! Me and the squad been doing the most and its only been one day of summer! Right now were having a barbecue! All my family will be here.

Mom: Set that bread at the end if the table
Laila: Okay mom (I do what I was told)
Mom: Everyone is on their way.

I hear a car door open so I look up and see my cousin, Nya. Her, her mom and this other boy gets out the car.

Laila: Hey cuzzo
Nya: Wassup (walks up to me and gives me a hug)
Laila: (after the hug) Hey auntie Jay
Jay: Child
Laila: What?
Jay: I missed you! (Hugs me)
Laila: (hugs back) I missed you too

After we hug I look at the big who had got out the car. He is light skin and has curly hair. 😊😍 He is handsome!

Laila: Nya, who us that
Nya:Oh thats my boy Bestfriend, Malak

Malak looks up for a second then drags Hus attention back to his phone.

Malak: hey
Laila: hello😊 I'm Laila
Malak: Malak
Laila: Cool

Just as I was about to say something else I hear my loud little cousins.

Cousin 1: Wassup Laila
Cousin 2: Laila (runs up to me and hugs me)
Cousin 3: cooooooosiinnnn
Laila: hey lil ones
Cousin 2: It smell good (walks towards the food)
Laila: Kj you fat
Kj: Duh

More family arrives and I greet them. I backyard is getting too full, but its good that only grandma Nana has to show up. Most people have already got in the pool or started eating and greeting others. I keep trying to talk to Malak but he's quiet!

Nya: Cuzzo come hear
Laila: What? (goes towards her)
Nya: (pushes me in the pool) Never mind

She also pushed Malak in and he says

Malak: Man, I told you I didn't wanna get wet wtf (looks mad)
Nya: best friend I'm sorry
Malak: (gets out the water and picks up a water gun)
Laila: (laughs)
Malak: (Squirts Nya's hair and her back)
Nya: 😐(yells) Stop Playing Malak
Malak: Nope, you pushed me in the pool and I got all the way wet, unlike you, you're barely wet.

When they get tired they sit down and drink lemonade.

Laila: You bsf goals
Nya: I know right
Malak: Shut up
Laila:😱 Malak told me to shut up!
Nya: You didn't know he can get super loud! He even has a YouTube page.
Laila: Malak? Whats your last name?
Malak: Watson (Smiles)
Laila: Ohh I've heard that name
Nya: I just told you that he is on YouTube
Laila: I watched the musically's of you against Tre Brooks😂 You just look different
Malak: Oh yea,shut up (hits me playfully)
Laila: Dont touch me
Malak: 😳😳

We talk and talk about everything. I get to know a little more about Malak! After everyone eats and haves fun only me and my mom are left to clean up the mess everyone made!

When we finish cleaning I take a shower and eat some chicken. Tomorrow me, Nya, and Malak are going to the mall! I'm inviting my best friend and some other friends.
