Chapter Eight

I wake up and see Malak hovering over me. He's just staring at me so I wave my hand in his face and sit up.

Laila: What you lookin at Lil ugly
Malak: A dinosaur, a big, ugly dinosaur (Smiles)
Laila: Omg where? (Gets up outta bed and goes behind Malak)

I start laughing and he playfully rolls his eyes. He goes back to staring so I slap him on his cheek and I laugh real loud.

Malak: Dont ever do that again
Laila: Sorry, but what we doin today Mal
Malak: You wanna go swimming?
Laila: Ugh I guess

Swimming Pool

I'm splashing Malak with water when Jalen, Nya and Tre arrive. I jump out the pool and jump on her, wrapping her in a hug.

Nya: I miss you too cuzzo ( hugs back then sets her on the ground)
Jalen: Wassup Laila
Tre: Right, like am I invisible😐🤔
Laila: Sorry, hey best friend and heyy brother

Nya goes and sits down on a chair andI push Jalen into the water and then I grab Tre's hand and we jump in together. I haven't told anyone but I've low key had feelings for Tre. He so adorable and his dimples are so cute😍.

He pops his head from under water,gasping for air. I come up and start laughing. Everyone at the pool just looks at me.

Laila: Wtf y'all staring at?
(Everyone goes back to what they were doing)
Tre: Dang bsf

I get out the water and go on the diving board. I jump off and do a front flip, splashing on this girl. She  sees me come from under water and mean mugs me.

Laila: My bad girl
???: Watch where tf you landing
Laila: Shut up, its not like I did it on purpose. But I can.
???: Stfu before I drag yo small self all around this pool
Laila: Tf, aint nobody finna drag me. It dont matter how small I am. You got me fvcked up. (Gets out the water and ties hair into a sloppy bun)
???: Am I supposed to be scared?(Gets out the water)
Laila: Yea (runs up to the girl and grabs her hair while punching her)
Tre: Omg (Goes to the fight and pulls Laila off of the girl)
Malak & Jalen: Worldstaaaaaaar
Nya: I got the video😁
Tre: Chill bsf (pulls her to the side and sits her on a chair)
Laila: No she had me messed up
Tre: Just chill for a minute (goes and talks to Jalen,Malak and Nya)

I sit down trying to cool down when this lady walks over to me. I look at her and ask What do you need ma'am.

Lady: You have to leave the pool. We do not allow any fights to break out, I'm sorry
Laila: Stfu, who tf are you?
Lady: I'm something like a superintendent, with that being said I asked you to leave
Laila: Gtf outta my face, I didnt even do nun

Tre and Malak walks over to see what's happening and why I was getting loud.

Malak: Wtf is going on?
Laila: We tryna make us leave and shii
Tre: Laila let's just go, I'm hungry any way
Laila: Fine, what ever

Malak grabs my hand and we all get our clothes bag. We change then walk a couple blocks to a McDonald's. I sit down at a table with Nya while Malak, Tre and Jalen order for us.

Nya: Girl, I got that video😂
Laila: Show me cause I really dont know what I was doin

Nya shows me the video and I burst out laughing. I was beating the fvck outta her. She did hit me a few times but I got majority of the hits in.

Laila: Omg
Nya: Girl, people been commenting and liking it like a ho-
Laila: 😱You posted it?
Nya: Sorry cuzzo

We talk for a little bit more until the boys come back with our food. Malak got me a cheeseburger and fries. We talk and eat until 6:30 then we start walking home. None of us is old enough to drive, so for this sum!er we just been walking

When we get home were all sleepy so me and Malak cuddle on my bed and Tre and Nya cuddle on the couch while Jalen just scrolls through Instagram. I fall asleep with my arms around Malak.
