Chapter 1 (Ashlin)

I wake with a start always the same dream always the same boy when will it ever end. Never I guess.

"ASH WAKE UP!" I hear my mom yell

"ALREADY UP" I yell back.

    Todays the first day of school and I'm not excited I mean I'm excided for the friends and everything but I'm definitely not excited for the food and homework, but I get up anyways follow my morning routine of showering, dressing, brushing teeth and hair and then getting breakfast as I sprint out the door. This morning for the first day of school I decide to put on my favorite quarter sleeve grey ninja turtles top with black skinny jeans and my white keds, I'm impressed with myself for how much effort I put into my looks today.

    As usual I run downstairs grab a pop tart and run for the bus stop and hope I'm not late. I'm not though so thank God, once I get there I see my neighbor-friend Kaleb and he hugs me and tells me he missed me. We have been friends since we were both 5 and I gotta say being friends with A guy is way easier than being friends with a girl way less drama and all that girl crap. I guess I just don't have the urge to be a girly girl like all the girls at my school.

    Once we get to school Kaleb says bye and we go to our separate classes my first class is English which I actually love because my teacher actually picks books that others don't like right now we are reading Enders Game, if you haven't read it you must it is great today we are reading chapter 10 which is titled Dragon I'm kinda excited to find out what happens to Ender next but then the teacher says we have to read in partners and I get paired with a really slow reader so I guess I'll have to read the last 16 pages by myself being that we had only gotten through 4 pages by the end of the hour.

    The next three hours our boring and go by fast Science, Math, and Music (I share the last 2 with Kaleb) so then its time for lunch today is welcome back greasy slimy pizza, delicious. I grab my food and go to sit on the hill next to Kaleb and all his gamer nerd friends.

    The rest of the day is fairly uneventful the only class I enjoyed was Art but what's to to love right? anyways when I got home I saw A big moving truck and lots of boxes.

"MOM" I Yell

"What honey" she says from behind me

"What's all this for?"

"Oh well we are moving to Grygla MN"

"how small is it?"

"population of 212"

"oh joy. But mom I love it in Lakeville and if we move there I'll be almost 7 hours away from Kaleb and everyone else"

"I know I'm really sorry but its happening to you'll have to get used to it."

life is so unfair sometimes...
