A beautiful sunrise was lighting the once dark sky of Moran, Wyoming. Full of oranges, pinks, and purples. Waking up to the sun coming through the curtains, Ace looked over to see his beloved Doe still sleeping with Deathrow at the end of the bed. Asleep as well. Kissing her forehead, Ace got up to start the day. Callie may be holding her feelings for him deep in her heart but Ace wasn't going to make her show her feelings. He knew that Callie will open to him when she's ready.
Walking out of the door of the house, Ace was happy that the snow was gone. Grass growing along with flowers. When he looked over the land he saw Vittorino and Nellie grazing with the barn doors wide open. Jack must have forgotten to tie the stall door closed.
'Damn that man.'
Walking to the first pasture, he opened the gate and saw Nellie walking inside with Vittorino trailing behind her. Yelling at his pal and throwing a empty water bucket up to him, he heard a satisfying grunt along with a, "What in tarnation?!", laughing at what was said Ace knew that Jack would have gotten it a whole lot worse if Callie saw that.
Her and her animals.
Almost seemed like she loved them more then him. Laughing Ace called his friend down to show him what happened. Seeing an angry Jack come down the latter, he only asked one question. "What's the problem with the picture? Take a good long look and tell me buddy. Preferably before Doe comes out and beats you black and blue.", although the silence of Jack looking over the stalls became him gasping in surprise.
"Oh crap. That foal and mare are gone! Where did they go?! Oh God Doe's gonna kill me! Ace you have to save me you know that she listens to you sh-", Ace was laughing so hard at his pal freaking out about how Callie was going to kill him. Jack gave him a glare and decided to go outside to figure out what was so funny. While his pal was laughing at him, he was scared to death about what Callie would have done to him if she found out.
Seeing the foal and mare in the pasture, Jack sighed. "Oh thank god.", came from his mouth and he decided to go give his 'pal' and nice surprise.
Punching Ace in the shoulder, the two went on to wrestling each other. Both taking punches and getting dirty from the dirt and grass that they were on. Hearing a gunshot, both stopped what they were doing and immediately stood up looking for who shot their gun. Ace sighed when he saw it was Callie.
"Doe, you scared us. I'm sorry we were wrestling Doe. We'll uh, get back to work.", elbowing Jack in the side he motioned his friend to get started with the work. Ace walked up to Callie who had a smile on her face.
"Normally someone would simply yell out but you, my precious Doe, had to get the gun out.", he said before giving her a kiss which she returned. But, a elbow to the stomach was given to him, which caught him by surprise.
Pulling Ace's face towards hers, Callie could only smile. "For one, stop calling me Doe. Two, tell Jack he has to do everything by himself today. That includes riding Sassy and only Sassy. He doesn't ride any horse besides his and Sassy today. Since he did forget to tie the stall door for Nellie and Vittorino. Sassy will teach him not to forget. Now, go tell him because you're helping me today in town. Doc was tellin' me that there was a few people who wanted me to train their horses.", knowing that Ace was about to say something she put her finger on his lips, "No you won't stop me from doing it. My wound has healed and I've been fine. Deathrow's coming along, Doc wanted to see how he was doing since he is blind in his left eye. So saddle up cowboy, we got to get going. Can Jack saddle Valentino? He hasn't been ridden in awhile and I need to let him run his heart out. Valentino should give Jack some nice trouble.", a smirk on her face as she walked inside after saying all of that. Leaving Ace just loving that woman with all his heart.
