What's going to happen to her? What do I do? I'm panicking, aren't I? Oh, God... Can someone help her?
Marcie's thoughts started to race as she saw her fiancée weakly resting on the gurney.
They ran back up the hill with her; Marcie quickly hobbled along and tried to follow them before Alanis stopped her.
"You can't be moving around like that; you'll disrupt your injuries." Her voice was the gentle, almost too frustrating amount.
"No... No!" Marcie sobbed while watching Zilly get taken away on the gurney. "I can't leave her!"
"Calm down; she's going to be okay, we promise."
More like "okay" by putting her out of her misery!
"And we can't have that man see you again..."
"Blu did nothing wrong! Get your hands off me, Alanis!"
"Do not address me directly." Her tone shockingly shifted entirely.
"I said, let go! Let me see her! Don't do this to me, you filthy piece of-"
She felt a syringe plunging into her neck, making her very lightheaded within a matter of seconds. She quietly moaned, pain rushing through her body before ultimately losing consciousness, not uttering another word from her lips.

"Zilly!"
Her endless thoughts jolted her awake, and she looked to her side, praying Zilly was okay. She was beside her in her hospital bed. "Oh... She's still unconscious, though..." She grumbled, standing on her crutches and moving slowly towards her.
Grasping her hand, she let some long-held tears fall down her face.
"Zilly... I'm so sorry..." She wept softly, rubbing her cheek against her lover's cold hand. "I should've kept an eye out, as Blu said..."
Her great regret overwhelmed every last emotion she still had as she continued to weep, her face against Zilly's hand.
"I love you..." She whispered, not looking up.
"I love you too..." The second voice Marcie heard made her suddenly whip her head up, gasping. A pair of purple eyes now gazed at her with a soft smile, loved by many.
She glanced up at the beautiful purple-eyed woman in front of her.
"Now don't cry anymore... Please... Smile, smile for me."
"Holy shit! You're alive..!" Marcie's voice shook.
"They said you... That you were going to..."
She wrapped her arms around Zilly and cried softly as her crutches fell to the ground.
"Ow... Easy, sweetheart..." Zilly gasped, stiffening.
"Ah- sorry, sorry." She let her go and struggled, grabbing her crutches and walking up next to her.
"There might be something in my eye. Can you look?"
The strange question had made Marcie inch closer.
"I don't see anything-"
Zilly grabbed her by the cheeks and pressed her lips onto hers. As she pulled away, she giggled. "Okay, thank you... I think it's gone now."
