Sienna
Yard time was over quickly and I was already back in my cell. I had kept my head down the whole time and thankfully no one approached me.
"Open on Cell 41!" I heard a guard shout before my cell door slid open. I stood up from my bunk when a guard came to my cell. "Tancredi, you're needed in the infirmary, come on."
"Already?" The guard nodded at me before taking me out of the cell block and leading me through the prison to the infirmary.
The guard swiped his keycard across the pad next to the infirmary door and lead me into a small room. He uncuffed me and stood by the door. The door opened and I couldn't the explain the feelings that washed over me when I saw the familiar face of my sister enter the room.
"We'll be okay here, Lewis." The guard nodded and left through the doors we previously came from.
"Sienna... Come here." Sara opened her arms and motioned for me to give her a hug. I walked into her arms and wrapped my own arms around her waist, enveloping myself in the comfort from my big sister.
"How are you doing? Has anyone done anything to you?" She pulled back and looked at me.
"I'm... erm I'm okay, I guess. The guys in here haven't tried anything yet but... I guess they haven't really had the opportunity to." I said whilst looking down at my feet and then back up at Sara.
"And we're going to keep it that way, okay." She took my face in her hands and stared at me. "I asked Henry to let you work up here with me as much as possible, and he's going to let that happen."
"Henry? The warden? You asked him for this?" I smiled at her as she nodded. "Thank you, Sara." I paused, "Have you spoken to dad yet?"
She looked down and stepped back walking over to a table in the room. "Not yet, he's not in Chicago right now and I can't get a hold of him. But Sienna, even if I did... Do you really think he'll be able to do anything?" She said looking up at me.
"He's the Governor, Sara! He's on top of everything in this prison, he has to be able to do something."
"Something? What do you think he can do?"
"I don't know, arrange another trial or... I don't know okay! Just something that will get me out of here." I said in frustration whilst rubbing my hands over my face.
"Another trial won't work, you and I both know that. The evidence is all there, there's nothing that could prove that you didn't set that fire, Sienna." She looked at me and I noticed a hint of disappointment in her eyes.
"Sara, I'm your little sister. You know me, I wouldn't hurt a fly. I didn't kill that man or hurt his wife, nor did I set fire to that house. Sara, you need to believe me... Please." I begged my sister before continuing, "Someone has to be setting me up, I don't know why or what for but it's the only thing that makes sense."
"Listen to me, I believe you okay, I do. But it's not me you need to prove your innocence to." I looked up at her before looking away knowing what she said was true. I looked out at the barred windows and brought my hand up to my chin. Silence fill the room until Sara cleared her throat.
"Well, even though this is supposed to be a way to keep you out of the cell block. I do actually need your help with some patients, so if you're ready?" Sara looked at me after picking up a clipboard from the desk.
"Yeah, course. Let's start." I said giving her a small smile and followed her out of the room.
"First, I need you to sort out a diabetic inmate. It's his first check-up in here so just make some notes on his behaviour and ask the usual questions that he might not have answered in his report and make sure he wrote the correct information. And just give him his insulin inje-" I cut her off.
