I've been making these for a while now and they're super cute and very simple to make. The picture of the finale product is above. The book it's in is one of my favorites. It's good for anyone who likes mysteries.Rated: 1
*this is rated 1 because I found everything I needed at home. You may have to buy some ribbon if you don't have any*
Supplies:
-sewing needle
-button in color of your choice (make sure it's no smaller than a nickel)
-ribbon (mine was 1.58 cm thick)
- sewing thread to match the color of ribbon used
-fire (it will make sense later on)
- hair tie, rubber band, or any other stretchy materialeSteps:
1.Cut ribbon about 3 feet long
2.Burn a little of both ends of the ribbon so it won't fray later with the fire (you might want help from an adult)
3.
Place hair tie on the side without the design (if your ribbon has a design on both sides just pick one) like shown in the picture above. Get your needle and thread ready!
4.
Fold the extra piece down (the piece you fold down should be about an inch and half) like shown in the picture belowThen sew the edges of the ribbon together so it seals the hair tie in. Don't know how to sew? Hot glue works fine too.
5. Sew your button on the opposite end (if you don't know how to sew a button on there is probably a youtube tutorial on it. It's too difficult to explain using pictures. Sorry!)
And tadda you have your book mark!
Hope you enjoyed making it! Let me know how it went and give me some suggestions for more crafts you want to do in the comments!
Have a good day!!!!!!
