Chapter 6

We walked up to the building after getting off the closest bus stop. But when we got there it was surrounded by gourds and as far as we could tell they were not letting anyone in. so we walked up to one of the gourds. " hey, what is going on here? We are supposed to start working here today," Ellie asked as she walked up the gourd rather confidently, the character that she was impersonating fit her rather well, so she played the part well.

"Oh right..." he said as he pulled out a walkie talkie to ask about what they were supposed to do with the workers that were not told about the current situation. "Right, come with me Ms. um?" he said.

" Just Liz," She said stepping where the gourd was gesturing.

"And the rest of you too," He said allowing us to pass. We walked a while before we entered the building and the gourd started talking again. "So there has been a change in plans, you will start up the weapons that you were told to clean. We will pay you for your extra troubles."

"Oh no, that fine. Eh, what is your name?" Ellie asked.

"That is classified," the gourd said.

"Oh well thats too bad, I won't be able to call for you if I need you," Ellie said in fake disappointment. Being able to silence her emotions she was also able to make them up, and very well at that.

"Oh, well in that case it's Mason," he said.

"Nice to meet you, Mason," Ellie said holding out her hand with a smirk on her face, she even leaned into it a little. Wow, she is good at this I thought. "Can you tell me how to get around here, I don't know my way yet. Maybe you could even tell me how to do some tricks with this 'weapon' we are going to be starting up. It might be helpful," she said after shaking his hand.

"Oh sure just come this way," he said.

She turned on her EP by pretending to brush back her hair. "Sure thing," They walked down a hallway as their steps faded. But we could still hear them over the EP.

"I'm taking you to the weapons to get an inside peek at how to work it," Mason said. "I am actually against what these people are planning so I am going to show you how to disable it. They are planning to become dictators and."

"And take over the world, there's a reason I'm here. To stop them as well. Same with those people back there. If you betray us then I will kill you. This is extremely classified, even in my own ranks. And don't think that I'm kidding. If you want to help us then here," she handed him an EP. "My boss told me to let you join us if you wanted to. But if you refuse after I tell you all of this I will have to kill you, and I don't want to do that. You seem like a pretty good guy to me. Is it ok if the rest of my team comes along it will be useful for them to hear and see this to. They all have EP's like the one I just gave you. But the only one that has to come along is Sam, he is trained to do this kind of thing," Ellie said.

"Got it," I said over the EP once Mason put his in. listening to Commander Grant.

"Hey," I said to Mason once I caught up with him and Ellie.

"Ok let's do this," Ellie said. We all followed Mason down the corridor to the weapons. Once we reached it there was man on balcony speaking very loudly to every person in the room, seeming to give them encouragement and orders at the same time. There was big stone diamond in the center of the room with blue glowing lines all over it.

"This is the weapon. We have to find the right sequence of buttons in order to shut it down. Same with starting it. Luckily I know both!" Mason explained. "But there is a catch, the reason that there are so many people is to press all of the buttons. To press them in them in the right sequence would be impossible for one person. That's why there are so many people here," he said.

"Hey Commander Grant, do you have any other spies here?" Ellie asked over EP.

"Probably, but not under my command. Other commanders, generals and higher ups have other spies here, you are the only ones here that I have communication with," Commander Grant responded.
