Author's note:

For this last part, whatever makes the story fit together in your mind, is exactly what happened. I see it as the last paragraph is from Ryan's(My) POV as what happens, happens. Hope you enjoy!!!

Dear Abercrombie, Entry #13

We know this is the end. We had a good time. If I die, just know that I will miss you eternally. We are here in the center. We see all of the natural disasters, each coming from a different direction. The avalanche that took Lily is closest.

We had to run to miss the avalanche. All of a sudden, Lily washed past, icebound. A single tear lay frozen on her face. The tears our family shed at that moment could not have been counted. We see the tornado coming next.

This tornado is coming straight towards us. We all run to the nearest building and look for something to hold on to. Suddenly, the piece of metal Nicole was holding onto ripped free from the wall. Nicole was pulled backwards by a tornado. It ingurgitated her in its torrential winds. She was dead. There was no way we could save her. I saw James' grip loosen as he watched her get sucked up into the vortex. The tornado has passed. Next came the lava flow.

As the tornado left it pulled us off the building and out into the open, right where the lava was coming. The Idiot was closest. Everyone else ran. The Idiot stared up, immobilized in fear as the blistering red, hot magma flowed straight in his direction. He had nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide. As it hit him, our whole family heard him scream out, burning and tormented by the reaping power of lava. The flow passed. Next came the tremble of the earth.

The ground around Jack's feet started to tremble. Dust started to rise and quiver in the air. No one could yell out, we were still choked up about Lily and Nicole. He didn't even notice. The ground split open. The earthquake had taken him without him even ushering a sound. Another sibling gone. The earth sealed up with a scar. Next came the waterworks.

The flash flood came in... well, a flash. The wave came too fast. It missed the rest of the family, well... the parts that were left, but Andy was caught in it. The frantic look on his face as he tried to swim to us was heartbreaking. He could never swim, that was talent the rest of the family had. The water booming, powerful force swept his body under. He never surfaced. Sadly, the Republic had arrived.

There were three masked Republic men that came out of a hover car. They each had spears. One stepped forward. He threw his spear, aiming at Catie. Catie wasn't paying attention. She was looking at the scar in the earth where Jack had been consumed. The spear caught her in the back, right where her heart was. She collapsed to the floor and Elysha and I ran to her. Elysha got there first and was cradling her head. Catie stared at her, eyes unfocused and swelled with tears. Her last words were 'Thank you... for everything'. The hurricane then came from behind the Republic men. Elysha and I ran and grabbed the building again, pulling Catie's body along. The Republic men didn't get the message and were swept away as the hurricane passed, lightning flashing, thunder booming, and rain drumming and pounding. As the tornado had done, the hurricane's force pulled us away, unlike last time, this time it was away from Catie.

It was just Elysha and I left. Heartbroken and in pieces. It was a movement so fast. She looked up at the sky and in a matter of milliseconds, she shoved me out of the way, not even a second thought. The bright, blinding flash and the excruciating heat came and gone. She stood frozen there, staring at me. Then her eyes rolled back into her head and her body started to flake away. My last remaining relative was now dead, killed by lightning.

I wouldn't care what happened next. Whatever happened, if I lived, I knew I would be forever alone. I felt the ground around me become unstable. Dust and dirt particles were being pulled towards me as if I was a magnet. The ground caved in. I went with it. The whole Walker family, gone. There will never be a next time. Love,

Ryan L. Walker
