"this can't be fucking happening" vic said, standing up in the bed of the truck, watching as police cars followed us as the car moved faster.
"sit down you're gonna fall off" tony said, taking a swing of a bottle of whiskey that happened to be in the back of the truck.
wow vic.
"so uh, you have a daughter" i said. "is that why you saved that little girl when i first met you?"
vic rubbed his eyes, "mhm" he said.
"her names isabelle. my ex told me she didn't want her because she hates children and knows i love them. i didn't want her living with me and my crazy friends, i don't want that for her. my parents are broke so i couldn't leave her with them but jaimes parents have been the kindest people in the world." vic said
"do you get to see her?" i asked, putting my hand on vics shoulder in attempt to comfort him
he nodded and took his phone out, scrolling through what felt like thousands of photos of a little girl with big brown eyes and brown hair.
"she's adorable" i said, smiling widely and the photos
"you can meet her if you want, if we leave the country after this whole thing she's coming with me no matter what" he said
"i would love that"
