Chapter 3: The Weirdest Day In My Life

Owen's Pov

I've been staying at this mansion for more than half a month now. All of the other people in the house were welcoming of me, expect Jeff since he is a jackass no matter what you say to him. They were all heartwarming as they were opening up to me slowly and I even made some friends. However, I was still weary of sharing my personal experience with them than vise versa but all of them understood that and backed off when they talked about a touchy subject for me to answer, expect Jeff since he is the massive shit that sits in the toilet which you can't even wash off no matter how hard you try. On this early morning, I was walking through the dark and quiet hallway with no one in sight for what feels like miles away. All of them are killers so they sleep in reverse schedule but to me, I can sleep late and wake up early in the morning without any problems. I slid down the rails of the staircase before opening the door quietly but it made a loud squeak. I looked up the stairs and down the hallways to make sure no one was up before sneaking out. I decided to train with Izanagi after what my grandfather's advice to me so I could stand up on my own instead of relaying on Izanagi all the time. Since I didn't want to disturb the others while they sleep so I moved farther from the mansion so I wouldn't wake them up.

We stopped at a clearing as Izanagi appeared in front of me with his swords in his hands. ' Are you ready?.....' ' Well......ready as I'll ever be.....' I summoned my spear and slammed it on the ground. ' I won't be going easy on you.....' ' I know.....so be my guest......' Without any warning whatsoever, he charged straight towards me and I clashed my spear with his twin katanas. ' Hm.....not bad.....for a beginner......' He put all the force on his swords and pushed my back a few feet before I had my back against tree. ' Looks like I'll have to give it my all.....' I charged straight for him as he was able to guard my assaults perfectly. Since I have been using his swords for serious killing and as my main weapon, this is my first time using a spear in combat. I swung the spear around to try and find his weak points but he was guarding all of them to keep me from getting the upper hand over him. I continued to observe his movements until I came up with something that might work on him. I ducked down and swung my spear against his legs to knock him off his feet. I slammed the spear down on him but he blocked it just in time. ' Hm.....you're not bad if you went for my legs......' He pushed me back a lot so he could get up before I got another chance to strike him again.

' You're not even using all of your powers......why don't you release it?.....' ' That's just it.....I don't know how to dumbass!!' I tried to use that power but it just wouldn't work for me no matter how hard I tried. ' Then......I have no other choice......' He charged towards me and his strikes were even more furious and powerful than when this battle started out. He kicked me on my side and I was flung into the air before slamming against a tree hard. I got on my knees again and I coughed out blood as he dragged his swords on the ground. ' Your parents really wasted their time on a little runt like you.......' '*cough*......my parents n--never told m--me about-' ' That is just an excuse!' He grabbed me and punched me in the gut hard to make my cough out even more blood. ' You don't need your parents to tell you that!Because deep down.....you know who you are!!You're family died because of a little piece of shit like you!!' At that exact moment, I felt the worlds tumbling down on me. My regret and anger for not being able to save my family and the rage that came out when he said those things to me just all came bursting out like a volcano eruption. A sudden roar of thunder echoed through the sky and lightning begun to strike. Then I felt a spine tingling sensation as lightning struck me hard.
